SU has a big alumni/fan base in New York/New Jersey. Hell, if you go to a Rutgers game it's all Syracuse fans.

UTEP is not bad. They're the most experienced team in college basketball this year, and they're long, athletic, and play good pressure D.

2nd half has been blah so far. UTEP on a 9-0 run, M hasn't even really threatened to score.

For a team that relies on so many outside shots, Michigan isn't very good at shooting. It's going to be a rollercoaster watching this young team.
Unfortunately, the overall record looks like it's going to be as bad as predicted.

They didn't shoot well in that Syracuse game either (35% fg). Syracuse just let us stay in it with their own craptastic offense.

How many shooters do we have? Morris is getting better, but a long way away from being a shooter, our white guy perimeter are shockingly more scorers who can get hot than spot up shooters, Evan is still a skinny freshman (but has potential), and most everyone else are just taller bodies to take up space. Some size finally, but not gunners.

At least it certainly seems that way. A lot of layup attempts that start about 5 feet from the rim and giv eplenty of time for a defender to come helpside and slap them away.

I've only watched the 2nd half, and this shit is godawful compared to the Michigan team that looked pretty strong against Syracuse. C'mon men, get it together.

Flipping McLimans and his 3s, and now Horford is taking them.
Unfortunately, it looks like JB has given everyone on this team the green light from 3, and McLimans, Morris, and Horford are simply bad 3-point shooters (and maybe a few other guys, but at minimum those guys shouldn't be shooting)
