Is pretty smart. Little closer than it needed to be for a bit, but never seemed like we were not in control. Walton's play continues to improve, and would love to see us be able to get 10+ every game on slick little passes to theirs for dunks. Times to put big boy pants on; schedule gets rough here for a few.

Nice to start 4-0, but I'm not sure I really see this team competing for the Big Ten Title this year.

Nothing wrong with that.

We lost two NBA first round picks to the draft and the guy who was our best player in the tourney to injury. Not many programs could recover from that to compete for a conference title, especially in the B1G.

I'm fine with being the 4th best team in the conference this year.

Mmmm Hmmm

But that's mostly because we still want to win every game and (happily) the past few years have really raised expectations for the team. It's amazing that we can have lost two excellent college players two years early (who were also high draft picks--those don't always correlate) and our best returning player and still have expectations in an absolutely brutal league. Thanks Coach B!

I just can't get over the disappointment that Mitch is out indefinitely and will likely be gone after this year.  Our big guys have filled in admirably, but we'd be a much better team with him.

Likely be gone is a pretty big assumption.

It's a loaded draft. Back problems are scary for NBA teams. He's already kinda old, and all of his potential is essentially from a sample of a half dozen games, which by the draft will have been over a year ago with barely any games since.

Most projections I've seen have him at the very end of the 1st, usually in the 2nd round. That's not too exciting to come out for - if he proves he's healthy and successful next year, he'll improve on that position, especially with a weaker draft.

Stauskas, though ... he might go. I've seen him quoted as saying the NBA is his singular dream.

I'm glad we are 4-0 and have taken care of businnes on the weak part of our schedule but I can't shake the feeling that this team is only going to be slightly above .500 in the big ten this year, don't see a lot of road wins in the future.  Hope im wrong though.
