Horford, directly or peripherally, led to every empty possession and PSU field goal on the 7-0 to close the half. THJ, stop shooting.

is a great recruiter but a horrible X's and O's coach.  with the talent you have on this team, you should have wide open shots all night.  I can name tons of coaches who are better at the X's and O's than Beilein

That disputes your exact claim.  Michigan this season has been the best in the B1G overall out out of bounds plays and out of bounds plays out of a timeout.  Moreover, Michigan is (surprisingly) the best team in the B1G on defense out of timeouts.  Transition Defense and intensity on half-court defense are larger concerns.

Wow.. we get up by 9 and what do you know.. Hardaway and the rest of the team starts settling for pathetic jumpers..

Why the fuck is horford even attempting a jump shot.. he can't even make a layup to go along with morgan

Not able to watch it, but from the stats it looks like we're just not shooting the ball well. Zero turnovers and only four fouls is huge for us. If our shooting starts to move back to normal, we should pull ahead handily.

5-17,that likely will improve in 2nd half....with Trey having the ball so much I wonder if THJ is forcing shots because he doesn't get as many touches as he'd like.

That's a possibility, which if true would be odd because early in the season that was his strength was letting the offense flow and picking his spots.  Not forcing shots.  I still think he's best at generating points when he drives to the paint.  However, in that case, he's also better at generating turnovers.

I almost want this team to lose. Despite already losing to this team and just blowing a game against Indiana, they come out cocky as ever and are struggling against Penn State. Someone needs to put the egos of this entire team in check, or else they're in for an early exit in the tourney.

the problem,we are very poor defensive team (check opp.fg%) and poor reb team (that's be ok today),when those 2 areas are poor teams will inevitably be inconsistant.

why GR3 does not take it to the rim more often. He settles for jump shots when he can dribble and be agressive. He obviously has great elevation. If I had his hops, I would attack the rim ever chance I got.

We should go 2 bigs. McGary for what he obviously is already doing (double-double in the first half) and Morgan for D around the rim.

2 bigs = much better rebounding...I suspect coach B. doesn't like playing 2 bigs because he is an offensive minded coach meaning with 2 bigs 1 of em has to play on a wing on offense

I think we will know whether we are going to win or lose this game by the first TV timeout.  There will be no doubt about it.  This team is capable of playing defense better than they are.  There is no question about that.  They have until right now to start doing it or humiliation will be theirs.

Why the fuck will Beilein NOT play a zone no matter what?  is it ego?  I am baffled why the guy credited with making the 1-3-1 a viable and tough D has decided that no matter how shitty his defense is playing he SIMPLY WILL NOT USE IT AGAIN.
