I am not sure why everyone seems so angry and shocked about this. Yes I wanted UM to win and yes I think we could have won this game, but I dont think anyone would argue that Ohio has considerably more talent than us. It's just a fact. That doesn't mean we cant beat them but it does mean that if they blow us out on an off night, it shouldnt be a surprise to anyone.
It is what it is. The talent gap will get smaller next year and we'll still have the coach who gets Michigan to play better than the sum of it's talent. I for one am satisfied with getting a share of the Big Ten title during a season that supposedly was one of the toughest Big Ten's in recent memory.
The only thing that really disapoints me about this game is that Michigan never really made any sort of run in this game to get with in 10 or something. Ohio just trouced us from start to finish. You can blame it on being tired, just not having a good day or Ohio being extremely motivated, whatever. But there should have at least one little run today that we can smile about.

Still, it was borderline unbearable to hear the CBS coverage speak as if Michigan had no business winning a share of the B1G title. I realize we got housed in this game, but there was zero consciousness on the part of the announcers that we beat OSU a few weeks ago, and that MSU split with us as well, as if they hadn't watched us once all year.
Infuriating. What's worse is that our single game performance did nothing to shake their foregone conclusion.

I see hustle from Novak and Burke and no one else. just a lot of standing around and losing lose balls, not boxing out, getting the ball stripped by smaller players, air-balling 12 ft jumpers, thorwing up desperation 3's. The gap in athleticism is painfully obvious. we made these guys look like an NBA team today. No balls, no heart, nothing today. I feel bad for JB. That guy and his staff coach their asses off. Actually pretty impressive that we got a share of the BIG. And I am not discounting the accomplishments of this team so far this yr. But man, it really sucks to get our asses kicked by these guys

There are times when he knows he needs to turn it up and does so. There are more times, like the past couple games, where he is too passive a player. I, personally don't expect him to be a Sullinger, nobody does, but he doesn't have to be. When he's pumped up and rolling he is the perfect big man for Michigan, I mean that; it just doesn't happen often enough.
(Note: I want to say he turned it up for the Ohio game two weeks ago, but primarily another game not too much earlier than that game, he played awesome and was a perfect fit for the offense)

Sullinger is good, but he looks and acts like a bitch. He won't make it more than 3 seasons in the NBA. We were absolutely dominated today, I wish we would have just put Christian in more, I think he can play defense very well. MSU v. OSU will be good game, but Ohio State should pull away in the end. Hopefully we can get our stuff cleaned up before the Tournament. Hardaway is still inconsistent, doesn't get to the hole enough. Burke came down to earth, didn't to a good job distributing today when he wasn't scoring. He's only a freshman and will get so much better as he grows. Smot doesn't have great body control and gets frustrated easily and gets silly fouls. Morgan airballed a 4 foot jumper, sigh. Vogrich, Novak and Douglass all have to make more shots, but you can tell they all gave 100% effort.
In the coming years, we won't get dominated and outsized in Big Ten Games. This loss is not on Beilein, as I'm sure people will say - idiots. The only reason we made it to this game is because of the fantastic play he drew up against minnesota that gave Smot a wide open 3 that tied the game.

So, do we blame today on being tired from OT yesterday, the refs, just not big and athletic enough yet or that guy yesterday that started the thread wanting us to win against Minn then lose to Ohio so we would have a better chance in the NCAAs - I am going with blaming that guy
