Michigan vs. Ohio State NCAA NCG?

We could only hope. But one writer for CBSSports.com has put it out there.

Not sure what I think of the reality of the article, and the author obviously gives himself an out at the end. It's nice to dream, anyway.

brackets that's what I picked. I couldn't stand to pick them that far and know I was going with my heart on us a little, but I just see some favorable match-ups for our style. I think we have jitters and nerves the first game and its tighter than it should be but I believe a victory will take some of that away and then we can run.

Even if we make it to the title game (let's face it, the tournament is a crapshoot, and our overall play suggests we're not ready to make a deep run), Ohio State is honestly one of the last, if not the last team I'd want to play. I just don't think I could really handle losing to them with a national title at stake. It would ruin me.

Then again, in that crazy, wild scenario where we both made the title game and Michigan won, I'd make it my personal goal in life to never let any OSU fan live that game down, either.

Still, bottom line: I'd rather play just about anyone else.

I hope you don't take my tone in the post as not believing Michigan can win it all. I was more so commenting on the probability of an OSU-Michigan title game. That would be the ultimate win for a Michigan fan and would validate the B1G in so many ways. I just don't realistically see two B1G teams making the title.

I don't think it is unrealistic to see two B1G teams in the final at all. IU, Ohio, Michigan, State, and probably Wisconsin are all capable of a deep run. And Ohio/Wisconsin seem to have the weakest route to the Final 4. I don't think anyone would be that surprised to find two B1G teams in the final at all.

Nate (or a mod) - why do threads you create have a distinct appearance from all other user threads?  They don't have the same buttons (e.g. first new comment), they don't have the frame, etc.

I have 5 B1G teams in my Elite Eight.  Suppose that happens, but only 1 makes the FF, is that conference shame and fail?

1976 Indiana vs Michigan with a Hoosier win. It's possible for a BIG match-up. Buckeyes and whiskey got the best bracket to make a run for the title. We can beat anyone in our bracket, but better dig deep. Gonna be a fun three weeks!

As much as that "school" has owned us recently in everything save softball, I would think that would be the last team we would want to face when everything is on the line.

I have a "few" brackets and as many of you i have a big ten final four and a michigan ohio state championship (differents brackets). Just think though, the football rivalry looks as if it may be coming back around and don't get me wrong I've enjoyed the last decade or so of the football rivalry but I have to admit it wasn't very exciting during the rich rod era kind of knowing we were going to win. Nothing was better than when we were ranked 1 & 2 and it came down to the end, it would be great if we could swing that kind of meaningful games in basketball as well

That I remember was three from the Big East in 1985. Two is pretty common.

Michigan in fact has been in the Final Four three times with another Big Ten team. We lost to Indiana in the championship game in 1976, beat Illinois in the semi-finals in 1989 and did not play Indiana in 1992.
