Very fast first half.
Hockey pet peeve: "when a teammate tips a puck in on you, which is exactly how my first collegiate goal against happened. Thanks, Copper."
Very fast first half.
Refs have been pretty good
Somehow Burke doesn't draw the foul on his drive to the hoop, Buford gets it on the other end. Virtually identical plays.
There you go.
OSU is eventually going to get theirs because they're talented and athletic. I just hope we can knock our shots down too and keep the lead well through the 2nd half.
anyone got a link?
If you are in the US/with one of the included internet providers, ESPN3.
Two hours ago, I could have sworn firstrowsports had a "shut down by the FBI" home page.
More missed Akron State FTs! Be still my heart.
Wow that should be a flagrant
I don't know if I should feel lucky that they're not hitting shots or upset that we're only up 6
Would have been and 1 had Trey used his left hand.
Or a missed layup. He probably would have used the "correct" hand if he was as good with it...
Assuming no scoring spurt by Ohio, Michigan will have held them to their two lowest first-half scoring totals all year.
Bilas should stop telling us how we want to play
Overrated college career, hilariously undistinguished pro career, unexplained hooker murders, renowned for uninsightful commentary.
Bilas is envious because Michigan has a better law school than the Dukies.
ticky tack foul on Smot
Hey!!! That's our play.
The NCAA in dumb fouls
In the Wolverines movie, Blake McLimans will be played by Sean Patrick Flannery's character from Powder.
Feels like this game is absolutely flying by
We can get a stop before the buzzer.
Edit: damn, rebound putback.
25-20 good guys at the half. Ohio 0-9 on 3-point attempts.
Thad Motta, u sweaty bro?
what else is new...
I could watch this game just for the nostalgia-inducing shots of Hill Auditorium. Class of 2011, already feel old.
Any relation to thad motta and brian kelly? They both love them some red/purple faces!
My son calls Thad Motta, "Mr. Tomato".
Getting worn down by all those big bodies in the homeward stretch. But good half.
not to mention the low class gum chomping.
really would have liked that 7 point lead into the second half. I'll take the 5 though. I feel we gotta play just slightly better the next half to pull it off, but we can definitely do it!
I'll take it.
Thad matta has his brian Kelly purple on tonight.
We should be up by more if not for poor shooting but our defense is playing great. No worries, we got this. GO BLUE!!
Can't play worse and we're only up 5. Color me concerned.
It would be hard for us to play much worse than we have thus far, so I'm not freaking out yet.
haven't played close to our best either though.
when announcer at endof first half calls M michigan state. barf.
Just skimming through the comments, seems like a lot of dislike for Bilas. Well, he's been right on just about everything. Yes, some is opinion based and he isn't perfect, but the guy knows what he's talking about.
Not sure why Ohio isn't going through Sullinger (like Bilas states). Michigan is playing some good defense so that's part of it. Michigan has given up still too many Off. rebounds. They aren't getting the pts. off of them a la the last meeting, but a half to play and giving chances to Ohio is not a recipe for a W. Howeva, overall the rebounding has been pretty good, I will give credit. The defense and rebounding are in correlation so that makes sense.
Trey wants this game bad, if you're on the moon and haven't noticed! I personally would like to see a bit more offense-created shots than they've been getting but I do like the idea of grinding out the clock (which in turn creates improvised shots at end of shot clock).
Anyway, this is a damn interesting game, almost a weird one. Wasn't expecting this out of Ohio; not that they're playing "poorly" but they look out of sync. This again is a testament to the opposition, so Michigan deserves props for the gameplan thus far. An interesting 2nd half is on the way and I'm pumped for a W! Go Blue.
I agree re: Bilas but the issue I have is how he chooses to express his thoughts. "Call a TO and tell them if Sullinger doesn't touch the ball they should have their scholarships revoked" is a bit dramatic. Although maybe Saban was feeding him his lines.
first half need to make more of those lay ups.
Wanted to add that to the above, but you're right. Michigan is a team that needs to take advantage of the "easy" opportunities given to them. Good sign that they're getting to and around the basket though.
I think we missed 3 gimmies in the firs half. Each game Morgan has one that I wish he would just dunk.
