Not exactly a great ending for Novak and Douglass.  Don't get me wrong, they are great leaders and have done great things, but they are simply not very good at basketball.

How is my comment absurd? Do you even watch the games?  They are mediocre athletes and rarely contribute significantly.  If they weren't "senior leaders," people would rip on them constantly.

What is there to say?  Even with the exttra help from the blown possession call with about forty seconds left, we couldn't put it away.  Ohio played well, and did so for the entire game.  They earned it.

There's always next year...

Great season, rough end.  Really, we haven't played very well for four games straight.  Was hoping to send Zack and Stu out in better style.

A lot of reasons to be proud of this team, and a lot of reasons to feel optomistic about the future.  Let 'er sting, have a drink, turn the page.

tell you bitches to quit being bitches. Ohio played beyond their headlights and we ran into it. Smotz played well all game and did more than almost anyone to keep Mich in the game. Where was Novak tonight? Why didn't Burke drive at the end? Hardaway disappeared at the end and had a ton of turnovers. Stu missed a few layups. Gimme a break. Go find another bandwagon.

Had this team ill prepared the last three games. I have lost all faith in him as a real threat to take this team ove the top. Not being sarcastic or stretching at all here. His brand of style, 'everybody has a green light to shoot the 3' just does not work vs opponents who are well prepared for it and have even minimal coaching talent. His brand of offense is Rich Rod on the hardwood court and we all know that it just doesn't work. Three ball is spread basketball. Plain and simple. Its easy to defend and can be exploited. I'm beyond disapointed in the coaching, far more than the players. They seemed slow to adjust, ill prepared, poorly coached, lost, etc...Very embarassing for the University. What hurts the worst is everything they accomplished this year was just severly down graded and most of the respect we gained back for having shared the conference title is gone. We got lucky this year, plain and simple. Nobody is going to take us seriously until we start making noise when it matters most. When it counts! Beating inferior opponents means nothing! We got lucky to beat MSU and OSU at home. We were embarrassed in the Big Ten tourney and now the NCAA. Minny in the 1st rd should have been a loss and osu certainly exposed this under coached and lacking in talent team. Beyond frustrating! Now I have to spend the next 8 months avoiding all sports media outlets. Thanks team!

This was an overachieving team from the get go. Losing Morris was always going to be a problem and this team did what they could to make up with it. Two of our now favorite ever starters were both barely scholarship athletes in a BCS program. It sucks to lose to a 13 seed, but so what. It happens to one team every year (and this year two 15 seeds lost!!!!!). We have a great recruiting clad coming in and the B10 is reverting to normal with IU, MSU, OSU and UM all competing every year.

and at the time I got ripped. Sure looks right tonight.

I think this team is still making strides to show improvement for this program. I just do not feel that the team is playing well enough to cover up major flaws it has and they will be exposed in the tournament.

Yuck. What an unpleasant game to watch. A disappointing result, but in truth the ceiling was a Sweet Sixteen berth this year. Michigan overachieved to get where they did, and I'll remember the season fondly.

Easier to do when I just conveniently forget the last two games ever happened.

It is easy to see in hindsight. We only go 7 deep and lets face it, we are not very talented. I honestly don't know how we split w/sparty and olio. Crazy. I think Zack, Stu et al. Gave everything they had. Did we play like crap tonight. Yea. Missed at least 7-8 layups. Left good shooters wide open. Didn't rebound. Settled for contested 3's the last 50 secs. We played bad. We deserved to lose. It's a bitter pill. I hopeTtrey and Tim realize, they are not ready for the league even though some scouts may say they are. This game should give them their answer to the question if they are ready or not.

Great regular season but for some reason the team did not play well in the B1G tourney or the big dance!

Even though we'll lose some key seniors the underclassmen got some tournament experience!

I'm not going to be quite as positive as some of you....we had a week to prepare for "OHIO", and our defense was shredded all night.  What happened to the 1-3-1?  Beilien was outcoached and dominated by a MAC team.  This team on the road all year long was flat out brutal.  We have played terrible since the Purdue game.  I was hoping the Big Ten tournament was a fluke, but our same issues showed up again.  Anybody who drives to the basket killed us.  We had no answer.  This team was not a Co-Big Ten Champion for a reason.  I have never been on the Beilein bandwagon, this 3 point garbage killed us.  At the end of the game all we needed was a bucket to bring us within 1 point and put the pressure on them, all we did is jack up horrible 3 point attempts, this was even after multiple timeouts.  Is this all Beilein has?  We can try and sugar coat this all we want but at the end of the day we are the only Big Ten team on the bus ride home.  Quite frankly, I thought this was another poorly coached game and my fear is that Beilein will never be anything but a mediocore coach.  You can disagree with me all you want but I would like to hear some legitimate reasons to the contrary.  Go Blue.....I hope we learned from this and next year will be memorable.

UM tied for the BIG with 1 bona fide 4* player and 2 other borderline ones.  They tied 2 teams with probably at least 7 or 8 4* or better players on their teams each.  Co- BIG champs for one reason - coaching.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as disappointed as anyone.  and disappointed that beilein didn't take cooper out of the game, given a week to prepare.

but hey, we missed 5 or 6 pretty easy bunnies tonite.  make a couple of those and we win.  now, that's on the players.

next year, we lose some "grit" but we gain a hell of a lot of talent.  if mcgary has any kind of post-game, it will open up a lot more easy 3s.  this team actually shoots the 3 pretty well when they are good uncontested 3s.  and mcgary is supposed to be a great post defender.

and there is a good chance stauskus and/or vogrich will shoot more consistently than stu.  further, with GRIII coming in, we won't be forced to stick with THJ when he's off,  the depth will be beilein's best by far.

so, all in all, i consider you post wayyyyyyyyy off on its criticism of beilein.

Still upset, but trying to find solace. Not that long ago that making the tourney was a pipe dream/nailbiter. This team still gets a banner, but losing to a MAC school will sting for some time. Evrery program has UPS and downs. If this is our down and the next several years are ups, so be it. Thank you seniors and welcome mcgary, Robinson and stauskas

which has been the consistent Achilles heel of Beilein's teams here so far. If you don't have a dominant inside game to compensate for it, you're always going to be vulnerable to a hot-shooting team like Ohio was tonight.

What Beilein needs but has yet to find is his Glen Rice.

And take a look at the Duke box score... they shot 6-26 from the three, which is even worse than we did.
