Michigan vs. Northwestern (Open) Thread

Gardiner has been very indecisive.  He also looks really slow.  He has to be banged up, even his running is tentative.

I usually frown at this line of thinking, but why AREN'T we giving Morris some chances? I mean, can we get any worse?!

If this is the first year of "Al's scheme" then why the fuck is there so many designed runs for Devin? The qbs he's recruited aren't made to run those kind of plays.

Borges got so paranoid, he told Devin, if you throw a multi INT game again, I will kill you. But to make sure we dont turn the ball over he went to calling conservative plays. Hey, 150 yds and 6 point but 1 TO is better then 400 yds 28 points and 3 TO's to him. Devin soon got injured after this and now he cant run, is afraid for his life, so he cant throw and Borges cant call good plays. 

look like Alabama. They know what is coming. Very predictable. When we move the ball, Borges calls are fluid and have variety. Just bad.

Sure can tell this is year three of the Borges experiement. He really has things humming.

Ok - ill start. Put in Morris.

The guards and centers inability to block anyone consistently is by far the biggest problem in this offense. They just can't get it done. And it won't change the rest of the season. They aren't ready for prime time.

Put Franklin in

The Running Backs have looked ok, Gardiner scrambling is not effective.  

Seems sharp.

Gardner is a smart person, but he's not football smart. Atleast not under pressure. And please Borges, quit with the designed QB runs. Were playing for next year at this point, why not see what Morris can do. I hope Morris makes a push for starter next year. I have lost all faith in Gardner at QB. Even when given time he looks lost.

Field position-wise, that is.

Glad the defense is playing well this game. We get more chances to see this offensive juggernaut Borges has created.
