Michigan vs. Northwestern Basketball Open Thread

What a difference a game makes. What would have seemed like a ho-hum Tuesday game is now a crucial game in the Big Ten title race after beating Ohio. As always, Go Blue!

Edit: For your entertainment, while we're waiting, for the students on the Blog, don't leave you evening companion to do the "walk of shame"...call her a shuttle-

I see Illinois is off to a great start and righting the ship...

At what point can we mark that game as easier than @PSU since Penn State is actually relatively tough at home?

This game tonight has all the makings of a letdown game. On the road, against a bubble team, after coming off a huge, season-changing win. I hope our boys come out as hungry as they did Saturday night. GO BLUE!

also...I have a bunch of friends that went to Northwestern, and I am traveling from S.C. to Chicago tomorrow for a wedding. I hope I can talk some shit when I get there (in an honorable, professional, un-Sparty like way of course).

Illinois is such a pile of rubble right now. Down 20 with 3 left in the first half. Ohio State is on its way to scoring 90+ points. Their collapse has been epic by any standards.

That said, I'm more worried about the game against them than I am about tonight's game. That's stupid, I know, but I can't shake that feeling that they are the type of team to beat us on the road like Iowa did.

Currently watching Big Ten Football Report '11 before the game. Gotta love Gerry DiNardo aka "the head coach who couldn't win at LSU and wasn't as good as Lee Corso at Indiana". Whoever got the bright idea to put him on TV needs to be beaten with a shovel.

Stu said their arena was quiet in an interview and the students heard about it.

Both the Northwestern team and students will be fired up.

This will be a tough game.

Three top-11 teams losing at halftime

KSU 40  #3 Mizzou 30

We are competing with Florida and G'town for seeding so these will be interesting to watch.
