The freshmen are as advertised.  GRIII looks like the best athlete on the team and will give team a lot of problem.  McGary is basically a bigger version of Novak without the shooting.  He is an energy guy who can rebound and defend.  Stauskas is a sniper but showed good playmaking ability.  His shooting threat will allow him to drive into the lane and find open players with ease.  Spike will be a solid backup PG who can spell Trey for 10 minutes which is plenty for the season.  Caris will be a combo G but is bascially jack of all trades.

THJ have displayed more willingness to rebound and find open players.  He is not forcing shots which is a good thing.  Having Trey back will only help THJ to develop shooting rhythm.  Jordan Morgan is solid as always but will miss some easy shots which is still maddening.

Yes, it's NMU but they blew them out which is expected.  A lot of positives in this game.  Just don't play Eso and McLimans until it's garbage time.

It takes at least 4 years of being in a system until you can start drawing up screen plays. Everybody knows that. Jesus man, your ideas are reckless. It's not like you can just fling a ball to a WR that isn't within 10 yards of a defender. You think we have Tom Brady out there or something?

Coach B has done an excellent job recruiting, coaching, and developing our basketball program. We really picked a winner when he was selected to bring Michigan basketball back to greatness. Hat's off to coach B, and the new additions to our team. With that being said we have to be cautiously optimistic. We played Northern Michigan tonight. That means there was no pressure, inferior competition, and inferior coaching. We shouldn't declare ourselves B10 champions quite yet. I'm as excited as everyone else, but we need to beat some D1 competition before we set expectations for this year. With the talent we have returning, the coaching, and the new addtions to our team we SHOULD compete for a B10 title, and possibly a deep run in the big dance. But, I also think on this board we tend to get impatient sometimes. We need to remember some of our new guys will probably go through some growing pains as the season progresses. And we need to be as supportive as possible, and set a great atmosphere. I think its important for us as fans to encourage a positive playing atmosphere for our players. With that being said HAIL, GO BLUE, and I'm excited for the season!

Hopefully the game against our friends from Slippery Rock is on a free stream too as well as Monday's exhibition.
