Michigan vs MSU MBB Open Thread

Submitted by Rather be on BA on

T-minus 60 minutes to game time.  I just got off a long day of work and am looking forward to a great game.  Figured we could fire this thing up early here to get some conversation going for this huge game.

If Michigan wins today we will be the first team to beat 3 top ten teams in a row in a season since Iowa did in 1986-87 (per ESPN stats and info).

Go Blue!  BEAT STAEE.

I called that in every thread yesterday saying "Payne it out".  It absolutely amazes me that anybody would think for a second that he WOULDNT play given the stakes.

Izzo: ""Oh dear....my best player has an ouchie and wont play for the biggest game of the year"

Media: "We believe you oh we believe you coach Izzo.  You would never lead us astray.  If he plays it will be due to divine intervention as no other power could heal him in time."

Here's the big question: do I watch the game? The only time I've watches UM play this season has been the Iowa St game, the Arizona game, and the run UW did to close the game within one. I promptly turned it off and Stauskas hit a fade away three. Science suggests I should not watch, but I actually have an opportunity to watch currently... Man, life is tough.

I'm afraid to watch this game, but at least I live in Wisconsin and won't have to worry about Sparty friends and neighbors. Plus, I get to piss everyone off in this state just by wearing Maize and Blue.

Beat State!

Haven't watched the last two games because of work so I can't start now. Even refused to hang out with my girlfriend and her extended family to watch the game. Most of them are State fans. Anyway, off to sequester myself and catch up on "The Blacklist".

Per RCMB

I'm in my court side seat now and Payne did have his warm-up gear on, but was also still wearing a boot on the right foot. Not sure what that means.
