Dileo great catch, gardner great bullet
First Down ....more time off clock!
Or wait...first and goal!!!!
Is it sacrilegious to suggest this?
Minny is Not Alabama, Notre Dame, or Nebraska!!!!
He's a better pure passer. Whether he's better as a total package (including running, leadership, etc.), I don't know . . . probably not yet. But there's much less of a dropoff now compared to last season. At the least, if Denard comes back we certainly have good QB depth now.
I am excited to see him play more though.
You're basing this off of one game that Gardner has started, against an improved but still a so-so Minnesota team, versus all of Denard's prior game experience and everything that he has accomplished.
No. Denard is better. I will say, though, that I think Gardner has the potential to be a much better thrower than Denard.
I'll say he already is a better thrower.
Too late to start the Gardner for Heisman campaign?
Wide receivers showing up today!
Hell yeah, gooo blue, great catch
Tie goes to the wr.
It wasn't even a tie. The defenders arm was in his grasp.
Gardner's ability to make plays with his arm force's defense's to respect our passing game and quit crowding the line of scrimmage. Here's to looking to the future!
O-line not getting much push.
Devin I really appreciate you!
Yeah, go blue
Are you kidding me!!!!!!!
DEVIN WHY U A BEAST
I can't believe that the other QB was preferred over Gardner. I mean Denard.
DG IS THE MAN!
Devin Fucking Gardner. That's right, Fucking is Devin Gardners middle name.
Fine job, DG. Damn fine
It's been said plenty of times already but I suddenly don't feel so depressed about our offense next year, Devin has really looked great today.
Wow DG is playing QB like a man. Throwing darts, running, and getting rid of it when needed. Our receivers are actually a part of the offense.
Ok. I feel odd with this, but...do we continue to rest Denard after this game? Get him healthy for Ohio?
Is watching this and seeing his hopes of starting next year swirl down the drain. DG is a baller!
Maybe you should stop posting for awhile.
Does Borges get credit for getting a back-up QB who had been playing wide receiver ready to play and put up points on the road in a week?
No, I think it's just pure ability on Devin's part.
"2 hours 5 min ago
I hope denard can go the second half"
Not sure if serious....
Yes, DG and Borges deserve high praise this week. I am extremely happy with the way we are playing today.
Offensively at least... defense has been a bit spotty at times.
Poster below, that's laughable. Borges is calling a good game. He knows what he is doing when you give him a prostyle QB.
He's definitely done good work this week. I definitely feel better about him as a QB coach seeing how Gardner has come along.
Borges will of course be asked questions about why he didn't have Gardner ready last week . . . but hindsight is 20/20.
"He was playing receiver all week, not quarterback."
Now if you want to ask why THAT was the case, that's fair, but that's to Hoke, not Borges.
I have an idea. Lets use our 2nd best QB as a backup from now on.
It's going to be fun watching the MSU and Nebraska game. Either we take over first or I get to LOL at sparty.
Hell, Minnesota may beat Nebraska.
I suggested in an earlier thread that I think they are twins. Some wandering Buckeyes begged to differ.
If Nebraska beats MSU today I honestly think it's better for our future as a program if we start Devin the rest of the way.
Janson the MANson
Has been better than I've seen in a while
Love what I have seen of Devin, but in fairness this is Minnesota.
Even if it's Minnie, Devin is clearly miles ahead of Denard in terms of FB IQ and throwing mechanics. It's hard to admit because of everything Denard has done for us over the last 4 years... but it's the truth.
I like that instead of congratulating our guy for making a great defensive play, he helps up Minny's WR
