landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.
I'm saying that THE_KNOWLEDGE does not like you stealing his thunder.
I'm seeing the future and know it to be true. I'm just guessing.
We will get Chappelbombed and they will get Denarded.
Since Denarded > Chappelbombed, we win.
Book it. But don't Raback it.
Yes. I'm with you on this one.
I'm going for a reverse Henning...
Last minute field goal just to prove we can do it.
We really need this win and I'm scared of the outcome but I'm going to say we win 35-28 in OT
to win 35-28 in OT, is it? ;)
I'll go with 35-24 Michigan. I think both defenses do a little better than expected.
28-28 after 4, we get the ball first and make pat, then stop them. Addition can be tough.
he's an NFL fan. The lamest overtime, wherein any touchdown is an accident.
Unless I'm missing some joke or something.
I cannot handle an OT game. The games this year have been way too close for my physical well-being. An OT game could force me to take to the bed.
I tried to come up with a prediction and I popped a blood vessel in my eye. This game is about as unpredictable as they come... I just hope we pull it out somehow.
Are you okay?
35-31 Michigan. I think we take an early lead, but Sparty comes back in the second half. Robinson puts it away in the 4th.
Michigan wins, 21-13.
When did we time travel to 2006?
35-34 M. Sparty is stopped on fourth and goal on the final drive.
We block a field goal? They're sure as hell not going for the TD down 1.
Weird. Definitely only clicked save once.
This is tough. Every time I think of any outcome or score I immediately think, "Wait, but if..."
I'll just pick because no one will put any weight into what I say, so it really doesn't matter. I'll be optimistic and say Cousins doesn't play well, which masks our pass defense, and Roh at DE helps contain Bell.
Michigan State- 34
I say Michigan is up late but Cousins has to start throwing, and our defense can't do a whole lot to stop it at this point. 2 FG's from MSU early.
divisible by 7.
Brought to you by the number 7:
No, no, no. He's predicting that we miss five extra points.
Cousins rolls out playside on a called QB run from the 6. Roh is there to meet him, so he reverses course and then turns to look for a receiver or to chuck it OOB, only to look directly into the eyes of your avatar half an instant before a thunderous impact 5 yards into the end zone.
Come on, what do you think is more likely, our kicker missing 5 extra points or our defense getting a safety?
Or fumble and cover it. Our defense doesn't have to do anything to create a safety. It might just happen.
Or commit holding in their own endzone. (Of course, that would require Big Ten officials to actually call holding.)
Denard wins it for us by passing for more than 300 yards.
I'm going to go Lou Holtz on you
Michigan 412 MSU negative 14
Here's his actual prediction:
Michigan 48 - MSU 24
Our kicker misses an extra point for some damn reason, but our defense plays better than expected and gets MSU to turn the ball over 3 times in route to a nice victory for us.
You guys are refreshingly optimistic today. I hate the be the naysayer, but I just don't see our defense stepping up and stopping them. Our secondary is really porous. MSU beat a good Wisconsin team fairly convincingly with strong defense and capable offense.
I'd love to be totally wrong, but I'm afraid it's more likely to be something like MSU 33, Good Guys 30.
that Wisconsin is any good. Sparty came within a failed trick play of losing to ND, who we beat (also closely, but we were still getting it all together then). I think a common opponent is more telling.
A lot will be determined by the matchups -- particularly on the perimeter. I hope Denard gets some big runs / passes going early.
I can't wait to be proven wrong on this game.
Why is he carrying Lloyd Brady's head?
Someone that looks as crazy as you to predict us losing. +1 for the sack to say it though. Here's to reverse jinxes...
does a nice job on my winged hair, and I get many comments whenever I go out to Red Lobster.
Do you dine with the crazy guy from Happy Gilmore? I would ask if Shooter joins the both of you, but I know better.
Mich wins 42-34.
I'll say 4 TDs by #16, one pick six courtesy of Captain Kirk and a special teams return.
The fear and paranoia that have been gripping us all for days departs before halftime when we go up by - yes - 17 in the second quarter. Remember, Brabbs is on the field for this game!
MSU never closes within 10, Greg Jones looks silly several times, 38-24.
Michigan State 38, Michigan 35
be up by 7 points or more if MSU has the ball last. My heart will not be able to take watching our D try to stop them from scoring a TD.
Prediction: Michigan 35, MSU 27
5 TDs and scary enough 2 FGs for the Good guys
4 TDs and 2 FGs for MSU
We jump out early in the first quarter after MSU realizes that Lippett != Dilithium with 2 TDs to take a 14-0 lead. We then trade back and forth before we score a TD at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Spartie makes it interesting with a late TD drive but fail to get the onside kick.
I think our d matches up better against their o than any other team we've play so far. They will get their chances but I think we hold them to two field goals early and give up three tds. I don't see them stopping our o, let's face it last week we left a bunch of points/yards on the field. That being said:
38 - 21 MSU
Shirt-rending & teeth-gnashing will ensue.
Eat your food Tina!
You got it inverted, 38-21 Michigan...heading into the 4th quarter. UM ices it with their run game to power to a 48-28 victory.
Shocker of the day: we kick not one, but TWO field goals.
Spartans will try to run early, thus eating up the clock and keeping the first half score down. They fall behind and have to open it up and the track meet is on. The fastest guy wins the race.
Defense steps up with Herron back with key sacks. Michigan pulls some plays out for Sparty. Keshawn Martin makes secondary look bad and returns a kick for a TD. DRob continues dominance until further notice.
UM 35 MSU 31
We come from behind and Denard leads us to victory, again.
Spartoons triumphant by 6:45. East Lansing a smoking ruin by midnight.
Michigan - 3
MSU - 2
Broeckhuizen & Martin share MVP honors.
I think we do an ok job against MSU's run but they burn us with play action a lot. Our O should execute well, as MSU's secondary is still shaky and their DL doesn't get great pressure.
That 33 comes like this: we are up 38-27 when they get a late score with their 2-minute drill, but they don't get the 2-point conversion. We then fall on the onside kick and run out the clock.
I find it hilarious that so many of you think that what is statistically speaking, one of the worst defenses in the nation is going to hold MSU to less than 35 points. I guess some magical fairy dust will be sprinkled on the defense before the game and all of a sudden they'll have transformed into a competent defense.
Wow...so you think MSU's going to score one extra touchdown beyond what people on this thread expect?
Yeah, that's worth getting your panties in a bunch.
MSU's offense is twice as good as Indiana's... MSU is going to score 84!
Indiana's offense did whatever they wanted to all game and they only scored 35.
MSU 35 - 28
42-38 Michigan! Go blue!
I hate predictions but I'll bite,
U of M - 35
MSU - 28
Michigan 63 Michigan State 0. Michigan switches to a 4-3, inserting Roh and Big Will on the D-line, blitzing every down and going to bump and run coverage.
I think our offense will roll and surprise the so called "tough defense" of MSU. In addtion our defense is ready to have the best game of the year with the home crowd. GO BLUE!!
Sparties penalize themselves out of the game.
I remember when GERG was the DC of the Chiefs
Michigan wins fourth quarter 21-0.
The police in EL won't need tear gas on Saturday night because Sparty will already be crying.
MSU 38, Michigan 35. DAMN YOU PLAY WHERE THAT GUY WHO KICKS THINGS KICKS THE BALL THROUGH THOSE YELLOW STICKS THAT POINT UPWARD, WHATEVER THOSE THINGS ARE CALLED!
