Wonderful. And this color commentator for MSU needs to stop screaming like a fan. Like I said yesterday, being a homer is expected, but you don't need to scream bloody murder anytime there's a possible penalty or a scoring chance.

From the sound of the audio feed I was listening to they are plenty calm already. My instinct of cheering=bad for a road game made it a bit tricky to follow. The maize and blue were certainly more vocal at Munn.

Michigan went to Munn Ice Arena, without their starting goalie and captain and just swept michigan state in a three game playoff series.... this team might...just might be hitting their stride at the right time of year

What human being not working in sales for some total failure of a company wears black dress shirts every time he wears a suit? It brings me so much glee to see Rick Comley fail. What a game. What a time for this team to figure it out. And what fun it will be at the Joe next weekend!

it's been more like 40 years of dominance, haha EDIT: Sorry this is in response to a quote way up the board about our 80 years of dominance

Huh, CCHA.com says OSU scored in OT so that series is going three. Go Buckeyes? That feels weird to say, but I'd really like to keep our NCAA tournament streak alive and Ferris -> Northern/OSU is a far easier path.

-Northern Michigan eliminates Alaska -Ferris State eliminates Nebraska Omaha (who now moves to the WCHA) -Ohio State defeats Miami in OT to force a Game 3 tomorrow night in Oxford (LOL) Michigan will face either Miami or Northern Michigan Friday at Joe Louis Arena in the CCHA Semifinals. -Michigan is up to #17 in the Pairwise rankings...so keep winning -Michigan State is down to #22 so they are not making the NCAA Tournament lol and the Red Wings win in OT over Buffalo and leap frog idle Calgary for the 8th Playoff Spot in the Western Conference....it has been a damn good day

Even worse now that Bemiji State lost in the AHA semifinals to Niagra. Now Niagra or Alabama Huntsville will get an automatic bid and will take an at-large away from another team. Best advice for Michigan: leave no doubt and get the auto bid. I don't think they can lose in the finals unless they get other teams above them losing too and even then it will be a stretch... So yeah....win EDIT: If they lose in the semifinals, I think they are out

comes out tomorrow on USCHO, so we can start playing with scenarios in the morning. Only the top 14 in the PWR will get in, assuming no other upsets, so keep that in mind.

I don't know if we can even get our hopes up for that. We were somewhere in the 20's in the Pairwise going into this weekend, and there's almost zero scenarios in which we'd be able to make up that much ground and get into the tournament. We need to win the CCHA playoff title and get the autobid. Top 14 just isn't going to happen.

we're tied for 16th. If Bemidji had won the CHA, we'd have a pretty good chance at an at-large if we split at the Joe and got just a little luck. At this point, we'd need the split and a crap ton of luck. Luck such that three or so teams above us fail enough in whatever games remaining to them that they drop below us basically staying the same, or maybe some changes in the bottom of the 25 to change the TUCs. If UNO could drop out of being a TUC, that would help us a ton. But yeah, barring a ridiculous amount of luck, we need to win the CCHA. Which, hey, is only two W's away! Hopefully we get Summers back, the team's play elevates just a bit more, we get a little luck and sneak out a title. GO BLUE!!

Smithers, who are those dunderheads? Those are Spartans, sir. They've played a major role in most of your impressive seasons for many years, now.
