Game starts in about 25 minutes and is on FSD+. Anyone found a stream yet?
"In response to CBSSports.com's request for Michigan's concussion management protocol, the athletic department sent the NCAA's 11-page document for treating head injuries."
At the top of Section six with my son. Let's Go Blue!
Let's Go Blue!!!
Michigan just got seriously screwed by the red. He missed 3 pts by Mich wrestler in OT!!
I've never understood the game. Plus, it's too damn cold to be out there with nothing but pads and a jersey covering my ass. Great athletes though.
Alabama Huntsville is folding after this season. They are really the only southern college hockey team.
No they are not. Huntsville's program got a stay of execution with their new athletic director.
Are they going to get into a conference or remain the only independent?
Right now they are staying independent. However, I would not be surprised if the new WCHA would invite them.
I'd go as far as to say that there's more sweat going on in a hockey game than a mid or late season football game by a good amount. Plus, most rinks are something like mid-50's, so it's not like playing outside.
I am amazed at how rank a rink gets after a game. We had a college tournament (Northwestern, Iowa, Michigan-Flint,etc...) at a rink in our town, and the smell of three days of games hung around for days.
My mom wouldn't let my gloves near any civilized part of her house. When I showered after games, I'd actually wash my hands with bodywash to hide just how bad it could get. Hockey gear is awful, given how much sweat gets into it.
have Fabreese when I played. All I could do was leave my equipment in the garage..an unheated garage. The sweat would freeze.
Good to see us going to the net.
Hey guys, join us in the thread above. We're still talking hockey.
Well, hockey-ish talk.
I love having to put up with it, but damn is that Yost goal horn cheesy as hell.
Now we're pouring it on
Zoiks! They hit the post!
Dang, that was close!
to being a 4-0 game
Lol Enrico Blasi, you mad bro?
Wow, this is great so far. I hope they can keep this up. Would be great to have a blowout of a pretty solid team to get us going as we finish the season.
They score early in the 2nd.
But we're back on the PP.
Someone needs to tell Denard to get some Michigan gear.
Denard is at everything . U would be surprised not to see him. A Michigan Man
Awesome... He's even at hockey games? Yay!
Great to see him soaking up the college atmosphere but I hope he doesn't forget to keep studying. We need him around next year.
I know there was no way I was able to hit all the football, basketball and hockey games and keep my grades up at the same time. I can't even imagine the time constraints placed on football players during the season. Especially with those extra long practices.
4-1. Hope to get the sweep tomorrow night!
We're third in the Pairwise after tonight. Let's get the sweep.
Let's go blue baby
anyone capture the game? i dont get fox detroit sports. sigh. GO BLUE
I hate blasi so much. The most whiny coach in hockey I have ever watched.
Glad Michigan pounded miami tonight. Do it again tomorrow.
Sergott is the most worthless piece of crap ever. I hope he doesn't end up on a reffing crew in the B1G. When he is reffing I guess it is ok to run over goalies and attempt to rip off one of their legs. You might also remember Sergott as the ref from the Kampfer attack by FYS.
Best crowd comment from the peanut gallery: "Hey Ref, are you pregnant? 'Cause you've missed two periods."
on MGoBlue, synthesized with the highlight video, he talks about the running of Hunwick and says something about how, all Michigan can do is send the plays, repeatedly, into the conference and wait for them to take control of the situation and that, "I don't think they've done a good job of that, yet". The blatant running of Hunwick has become absolutely ridiculous. At this rate, we'll be lucky to have a healthy Hunwick through February, much less any NCAA tournament run. I get that it happens and sometimes you don't have a lot of control as the offensive player, I get there's almost certainly going to be a little extra, especially around the goalie and not all of that has to be or should be called, but this isn't just the normal squabbling that goes on, this is straight up dirty. Though honestly, it surprises me much less from Miami than it did from Notre Dame.
I did like Blasi going and chewing out the meathead who did it right at the end of the game. Beyond that yeah this is getting ridiculous and the refs have GOT to get it under control.
