We win this game and the tournament chances increase greatly. Gonna be a tough one but I expect a good battle. Go Blue

We got away from our game there, and I hope that didn't show them how to beat us........

Hopefully we go back to the slow-paced half-court game.

Did the guy covering the game for ESPN.com fall asleep or something?  I was sitting there staring at the gamecast thinknig some kid broke their neck for how long it's been 5-4 Illinois with 18:12 left in the half.

Curious... I feel like JB is a coach that will let his team work through things sometimes instead of calling a timeout one or two possessions too soon.  The score was 13-7 and Illinois went on a 12-2 run over 4 or so minutes.  With such a young team, I feel like sometimes the TO's are a possession or two late.  What does everyone think?  Not a big deal, and will definitely benefit in years to come having JB's current philosophy, yet I can't help but wonder if it might help short term for JB to have a quicker trigger on the TO's.

On defense mostly, but even on offense.  Defense has just been lazy getting to their spot/position, both on and off the ball.  Offense people aren't setting their feet.  The footwork on offense has been terrible, giving way to awkward looking shots.  They're just playing lazy in a game they can't afford to play lazy during

Argh.......I was hoping we didn't have an extended cold streak. The length of Illinois is really giving us fits.

And other needless flailing of limbs, kind of like how they can card people for flopping in soccer, but you know, instead of like soccer actually do it.  Tizdale is annoying me greatly, almost as much as Doyle and Michigan not making shots.

I'm not so sure about McLimans. But Morgan continues to improve, and he can be a Big Ten space eater and relegate the rest to bench minutes (assuming Evan is a productive Beilein style 4 by then).

seen much in the past month or so that makes me feel confident Smotrycz will develop into the player we all hoping for. Maybe he'll learn what to do once he beats his man with a pump fake and maybe he'll pick up some quickness on D, but I wouldn't bet on it, especially the latter.

this team should consider lucky to be down only 10. We got killed on all levels that half. Smotrycz is killing us. that one possession where he beats his man, but passes it, gets the ball back, and misses a three was sickening.

For defensive purposes I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Blake McLimans get some minuets. Listen I know that he is god awful on offense but if he and Morgan were in at the same time we could still get our interior offense with Morgan and still have our kickout shooters available. But it's obvious we need an answer for there height and lob it in over our head offense, and quite honestly Blake is our best answer because he actually is a good shot blocker and defender.

We missed a lot of open shots in the first, mostly Douglass, but if we knock a couple of those down we are right in this.  We have to shoot well against bigger teams, and we didn't, hence the ten point deficit.  We have shown on more than one occasion that we can get hot and shoot the lights out for a half.  Hopefully we get hot.  Go blue!
