It's a great teaching opportunity here to practice against zone and press in a game situation.  Hopefully JB makes sure the players use it that way rather than fun-time-alley-oop-fest which I assume most 18-22 kids would rather turn it into.

I don't disagree with the content of that post. I would just like a little more positivity...I mean we are up 30. Obviously we are not executing perfectly but you seem unfairly dismissive of the lead.

Against this zone and high pressure, I'd like to see Trey and Spike get some run together. We're going to need 2 ball handlers versus tough full court pressure down the road.

I'd like to see Albrecht-Burke-Hardaway-McGary-Morgan

...just see what that lineup does vs. this pressure.

Man to man pressure is different then zone pressure. The whole reason for zone pressure is to try to get the opponent to dribble into a trap, which is why I don't agree with the reasoning of we need our best dribblers out there, I think it's more important to have shooters who will be open when someone kicks out from a trap. If they're pressing in man, I agree 100% you want dribblers.  I'm not saying you're wrong or I'm right, that's just my basketball 2 cents.

I am the only one reading too much into his presence? I would be shocked if he plays Saturday (and disappointed as it will be my first time there since '10). I mean to be @ Crisler during game week seems like a waste of potential prep time. Just me?

Hardaway's so much better defensively than last year. He just had a great help and recover on the last possession. You can't do that unless you're moving your feet and are positioned exactly where you need to be on the floor.

We played after them...granted their game went to OT but we had a few hours less of rest and all of our players had to get up and go to class today...I don't buy the fatigue argument.

Was amazing in the first half and a bit less so in the second. It almost feels like he's hesitating on inside moves. The whole team is sloppier in the second, but a lot of it seems to be related to trying different offensive concepts, so it's hard to be that upset.

Get these guys out and get guys in that will simply run some offense and execute. Not that they're going to develop bad habits. But it's just ugly basketball. Plus it hurts their stats, and that's always important.
