not a bad road loss at all.

This game we're playing reminds me so much of the ISU game, Zona just seems out of sorts likes we did and we're playing with the momentum and the crowd. I think we win like ISU did (and rush the floor) in a similar manner.

Horford has the size, the wingspan, the bloodlines, and enough athleticism -- he should be able to play like this all the time. He's got all the pieces. He plays much taller than McGary in the post.

with apologies to Mitch McGary and maybe Zak Irvin, GR3 has the highest ceiling on this team. The only person who can stop him in college basketball is himself.

Keep it up.

I felt this was a turning point game for us when I looked at the schedule before we even played a game.

Playing at Duke in the 7th or 8th game of the year tells me nothing when your team is young and even your experienced guys are ALL filling in new roles. We could've lost that game by 25 and I wouldn't have felt anything different, we could've won and I wouldn't have felt anything different.

This month we have games every Saturday, so we're going to get a full week of practice to grow and find ourselves. This was the first week that would could sit back, look back and evaluate the first 9 games.

Now guys have roles, guys have experience, guys have a place on this team.

It's starting to show. The post players are going to be the post players in this offense, doesn't really matter. McGary is McGary and the other 2 are going to provide senior leadership and steadiness.

As for everyone else. Stauskas WAS playing like our #1, but he's not...he's a VERY good #2 guy. LeVert isn't a #2, he's a VERY good #3 option. Albrecht/Walton/Irvin are all very good #4 options.

That's not to say these guys won't lead the team (I actually think we'll set some kind of a record of number of different players who lead the team in scoring in one season).

However when you're talking options. GRIII has the skillset and the makeup to be the #1 option. He's now playing like it. Stauskas will have better games, LeVert probably will too. But we need him to b the #1 guy when we go INTO the game, if the game turns out different, so be it. But he was nowhere to be found until this game.

I wonder if the defensive pressure is going to shift towards GRIII. I'd like to see Stauskas in some better shot opportunities. It seems like he's been well covered that whole half.
