Michigan vs. Alabama Open Thread

OK, all the main afternoon games are decided. Show time. You know what you want to talk about now. Maybe they have a Liveblog set up under the new specs, but we all love an open thread, no? Feel free to talk about the other games of interest on commercial breaks. Let's Go Blue!

The Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" came out earlier that week and a buddy of mine brought it over to listen to while the game was on.  I thought it was one of the greatest albums I had ever listened too (still do; RHCP have not been as good since).  Watching Michigan give up 50 at home was absolutely shocking to me.  Watching them give up another 50 in the Rose Bowl was equally shocking.

Desmond Howard won the Heisman that year...I was hoping Denard would this year, but I don't think there's a prayer of that now.  He deserves better.

Denard needs to start running the ball or go sit down ...His runs will set up the pass but im not sure what he is doing ..I have never seen him hand the ball of this much and only have 2 runs

if the coaches are not gonna play to denards strengthn in this game, then why play him or the game. saban doesnt even have to gameplan to stop him, michigan has done it for him

Put Bellamy in and get out of here with an alive Denard.

I had no grand illusions of winning this game, but this is awful

Oh, and everyone that says "remember the ND game last year?" yes I do, I was there and Alabama would beat ND by 150.

- Talent Gap

- Defense fighting hard with the offense giving them NOTHING.

- Clearly, Borges is playing for the BiG. Playing very safe with Denard & his (not) running

- Denard still struggling with the deep ball. If we could have connected on even 50% of the ones that have been open, this would be a different game.

------------------------

I think that we will do just fine through the BiG schedule, especially once we unleash Denard a bit more & once #12 gets more comfortable being a WR.

We are on a path back to being a top dog... but we are clearly not there yet. With that said, I think that the BiG championship is still a possibility.
