Michigan vs. Alabama Open Thread

OK, all the main afternoon games are decided. Show time. You know what you want to talk about now. Maybe they have a Liveblog set up under the new specs, but we all love an open thread, no? Feel free to talk about the other games of interest on commercial breaks. Let's Go Blue!

Herbstreit rambling on and on about Junior Hemingway. I loved JH, but two great catches in the Sugar Bowl that stuck in the minds of talking heads has made him the most overrated Michigan player ever.

You would think he was a first-round pick who terrorized the Big Ten last year from the tones people talk about him in.

I'll say it again. With the physical, all out, lay everything on the line type of game this was gonna be we shouldn't have made it the fucking season opener!

A call against Bama ................. Had to happen when the game was out of reach to make it seem like it wasnt a poorly officiated game

I don't know if this is good or bad but seeing some freshman on the field has to be encouraging as the season goes along. Wilson, Ross, Pipkins, Bolden, etc. The future is bright.

Our back-ups, minus that bad pass, have looked good against Alabama's back-ups. I know it's impossible to tell what it'd be like in a few years, but it seems like we have the talent to compete in a few years. These freshman look good.

I don't care how good Alabama is or how poorly officiated this game was, there is no excuse at all for opposing teams running backs being 5+ yards down field before being touched. That happened all game long.

Besides Michigan having a brand new line against an NFL ready offensive line? I'd probably take that line over some of the worst ones in the NFL. There is an excuse for it, though they should improve. Not only was that the case, but 'Bama has 3 of the BEST running backs in the entire nation.

Edit: I hit reply to the post above you, sorry. This was meant for the post above.
