Michigan vs. Alabama in Dallas ticket question

Submitted by rtsannes62992 on

Just wondered if anyone knew when to look out to see when the tickets start to go on sale. Planning on making this game a little bit of a family vacation so wondered if anyone had info on the tickets. Any help would be great.

Thanks for the psd answers. I was also wondering about prices to catch a flight down to new Orleans. I really want to go but rather make it a road trip. Just trying to further convince myself not to fly.

To NOLA is fun...I've done  it several times. Plane Tix to the Big Easy are always a bit more expensive than the usual destinations...I rarely see Detroit to NOLA directs.

It's a 16-18 hour drive depending on stops etc. I've done it in one day, but would have to leave early (like 3 or 4 AM) and will still get there late night NOLA time. If $$$ is not an issue and you have time constraints, definitely fly.

If you dont mind time and have a second to spend in NOLA, do the drive - you'll get to see some parts of the old south that you generally wouldn't get to see.

I always stop in Tuscaloosa every time I go.

Planning on coming down from Madison for this, but anyone know if the standing room only "party deck" will be open for this like they have during the Cowboys' games? Would enjoy that  just as much for a cheap price with the amount of TVs and access to beer right there.

I talked to the ticket office this morning and it sounds like the process is still being put together.  My direct question was if the Michigan ticket office would be selling any tickets and the respond that I recieved led me to believe they don't know either.

I live in Dallas, so if you have any specifc DFW questions, let me know.

I belong to the UM club of Dallas, we had executives from the cowboys talk to us at the State game. They mainly talked about suites but they also talked about tickets. Blocks of tickets will go to each school first and next the season ticket holders of the Cowboys will be offered. What ever tickets are left will go to the general public. I sent Brian all the info I had to post but he never got around to doing so.

Hi Dallas Wolverine - Is the UM Club of Dallas going to reach out to local alumni (e.g., via the website) to solicit requests for game tickets?  I recall hearing this at one of the happy hours this fall, but have not heard anything since.  I'd love to get a block of tickets with fellow Dallas / UM alumni.  I have lots of friends and family coming to Dallas for the game, so would love to hear about any effort by the alumni club to secure a large block of tickets from either the University or the Cowboys.

Thanks.
