The parachutes jumped from a C-130, that made a few passes pregame. Are you sure that you aren't thinking about that aircraft? If so, that's a Vietnam Era plane.

and not front-line fighters, but flyovers are probably way down the priority list for F-16s/F-15s/etc.

Really just depends on who's available and where the request gets funneled. The majority of the time these flights are built into the flying program of the Wing and are good training events for time-on-target work.

I saw the Blue Angels Saturday, they did several fly-bys! They're always impressive and awe-inspiring when you see them...

Not to be cynical or anything, but I'd read that oftentimes the military pays for these displays as a recruiting tool.

I live in Milford, about 30 miles north of the Big House and the went over my house, southbound at 11:32...at 500 mph I figured they be at the Big House about 11:35/36...seemingly a little early.
