"Coach Mattison told me what the Ravens were about, what he thought," Beyer said. "He definitely encouraged me. I hold his opinion in high regard."
Not too shabby stalk blocking by Devin. Not great but .
Let's see the D put the boot on their neck
One shoe to boot!
Wonder if Fitz will get any yards.
Two holdings on BWC...COME ON
Looks to be much more decisive than Demens.
D is not so good.
Has Ross been in. I know he got clobbered a bit last week but I feel he has some good skill to match a triple option.
This looks like a GERG D, only worse!
Kovacs was covering 3 guys on that play
Not gonna win that battle, lol.
We still need a lot of work on defense. We are missing too may tackles and look way to indecisive.
Not watching. @ kings island and not on espn3 here
Wow...don't even want to think about how we are going to stop backs like Bell and Burkhead..
The only thing I find comfort in is the fact that they don't run out of this type of offense.
Block in the back much? Guy gets free and gets shoved with two hands on his name patch.
I was just thinking the same thing.
either Service or Freedom blocked Taylor in the back on the fourth down TD.
Was blocked in the back. Would of had position.
I mean how do the refs miss that?
Is Mattison smoking. Everybody n the place knows theyll go outside but he stacks the box. W.T.F.
Blatantly blocked in the back on that TD!
There is a whole lot of doom and gloom on this board today.
No joke. Bunch of whiny bastards. Must all be new fans. This is normal for us in early season.
We're only beating Air Force by 4, and it could be one if they had made the field goal. Maybe your expectations have been sufficiently lowered during the Rich Rod fiasco, but I expect Michigan teams to actually play well against a service academy. This is Michigan, not some bottom dweller. We shouldn't be settling for a narrow win against a bunch of high school sized players. Especially after last week's embarassment.
Our offense is moving the ball at will, as it probably should be against this defense. Our defense is certainly not calming any concerns from last week, but it is a defense designed to line up against pro sets and zone read options. I am not sure how much struggling against this team tells us going forward.
...but I think this shows that's it's not X's and O's, but rather Jimmys and Joes.
We just don't have the talent like we did last year. There isn't a whole lot our coaches can do.
Thankfully, we are getting a crop of studs coming in. Hoke may not be the greatest coach, but he can bring in the talent, and this is worth his weight in gold (and thankfully, he is not a small person)
Uggggh!! We are a 7-5 team at best....our D is getting run through more than Craig James dead hooker!!
Our D is undisciplined. We take ourselves out of plays. Also our D Line needs to penetrate to bust up some plays early. Just not there yet.
Did we practice defending the option? Nobody gets to the outside for the pitch!!!!
This is 2008 all over again. PATHETIC.
Seriously? Did you watch 2008? This is nothing like 2008.
Michigan had many returning starters, a second year under Mattison and they look 100% worse than last year. They simply can't get off blocks
Relying way way too much on running Denard...
Blocking from the OLine has been much better in the 2nd half so far, although we still haven't seen any Toussaint runs.
(Yes, I'm basing this on 4 plays)
Good throw there and good job Jerald.
FUNCHESS U DA MAN
is gonna be a star.
Finches is #1 in my book right now. Damn.
Is that the guy from American Pie?
I know he hasn't gotten much traction, but it's like we've abandoned him this game.
Nice job Denard, nice job Devin!
How many stars did Funchess have as a recruit?
3* to Rivals.
