Wow we all needed this!  It's cathartic after all we've been through.  Go Blue!

Good game from the bench, especially Doyle.  But, eh, the offense seems just brutally ineffecient to what I'm used to from Beilein.  At least the D seems to have taken a step forward from last year.  Caris really needs to snap out of his putting the ball in the basket slump.  Could be a really really good team if the offensive effeciency steps up.

True, true.  Perhaps its some selection bias on my part because I didn't have a chance to actually watch a lot of last year's non-conference.  But last year, I kind of felt like "Ok, this is working, but they just need to, you know, make their wide open baskets the offense generated for them".  This year it just feels a lot more disorganized, like they don't know how to run the offense as well.  Maybe I'm just way off base here.  Offense took another hit in KenPom it looks like after this game as well.

Really fun game to watch. This team has a long way to go, and they'll improve, but I'll take the win. Loved the effort I saw out of Doyle. Can't wait to see more of him this season.

Woot Woot.  Really a nice early season W against a young, scrappy team.  No that Oregon team isn't that good (I don't think, maybe they make some noise out West, we'll see) but that was a helpful victory.

Wasn't pretty for much of the night, but they got the W, and that's all that matters. But simply put, the team can't afford to have Walton and LeVert both go cold for much of the game and expect to win. Especially when it comes to conference play. But it's early in the season and this was the first real test the team faced. They'll undoubtedly get better as the year goes along, especially after going through a tough slate with Syracuse, SMU, and Arizona.

Ricky Doyle played like a man tonight. Without him, we probably lose that game. Looking forward to seeing him develop further under Beilein's tutelage.
