Doesnt look like btn2go has the game tonight. Bummer
i refuse to even consider this a possibility
Doesnt look like btn2go has the game tonight. Bummer
On BTN than U of M vs. IU in soccer.
It's going to be on WTKA though, right?
Student Radio broadcast of the game is here.
Is much appreciated, MM. Listening as I post.
My Alma Mater vs. my fathers. Suck it dad
I was fully expecting to be able to watch this game on TV despite that never really being the case in years past. If theres less than 3 college hockey games on TV I find it weird
I have 4 box tickets if you want them
Let's Go Blue!
game is on "XTV" which ischannel 900 on comcast here in ann arbor. not in HD, pretty hard on the eyes (especially on a 120" projector)
Sounds like play has been pretty whatever so far. We'll probably see our first pressure by either team here
Unless someone is streamtorrenting it, I think we're SOL tonight
Sounds like we've had a few good chances so far with not much coming from Lowell yet. Hard to tell over the radio though, anyone watching it on Comcast that can verify the voracity of that statement?
He's exciting to watch. It seems like players underestimate his speed and are forced into taking those penalties.
Sounds like Nagelvoort is having to make a bunch of huge saves, which he has obviously done so far.
Nothing really happened. A few chances and a few powerplays but nothing much was notable.
This is less fun than last night when we were absolutely kicking BU's ass. Think we're a slightly better team, but UML had a nice last five minutes or so.
Why was UM-BU on BTN2go last night, but not tonight??
PPG. 1-0 UML
PA Announcer hadn't even finished the Lowell goal call before we scored. Can't have been more than 15 seconds apart
Goal for Evan Allen. He of the all freshman line with Motte and Compher. We've got a lot of great freshmen on our hands
Vermont beat PSU 5-2. I believe that seals the challenge in Hockey East's favor.
BU also up 1-0 on MSU
Evan Allen, it's 1-1
I'm starting to wonder who the starting goalie will be once Racine is healthy again.
He proved last year it's his job. Red isn't going to start an unproven goalie to try and get the same thing fom a proven goalie.
it's not like Racine did anything to lose it so my guess is they'd split time until post GLI and then make a decision
We're getting the more sustained offensive pressure but we've been prone to giving up odd-man rushes more often than we should
U-M will start the 3rd on the PP.
I think UML took a penalty right at the end of the period. Michign will probably go on the play for a full 2:00 to start the 3rd
Shots are 31-26 in favor of U-M after two. The score, presented by PNC Bank, is tied 1-1.

Alright, let us put the puck into their net
No joy on the PP.
Can Michigan just roll 5 d all season? Serville is a train wreck
That is what some call 'bad news bears'
Hitting from behind on Di Giuseppe. Al and Bill seem to think that a major is a stretch
It was an obvious major. They're ridiculous homers. It WAS nice of all four refs to ignore an obvious too many men with a minute left though.
Clare/Serville are the weak link on this team.
1 min gone in the major
1:30 gone on the major. Faceoff outside the M zone
1:58 to go on the major. Michigan doing well so far
MSU up 2-1 on BU right now. 2 goals in the 3rd for them so far
Dammit, they score. 2-1 them.
With :37 left in the major. Crap.
A mistake in the D-Zone from Clare, UML takes the lead.
Faceoff in the Lowell zone. Going to be tough to pull this one out. It's been very even to this point. Shots are only 36-33 Michigan
Michigan not getting too many chances right now, though we are certainly getting more than Lowell
Lowell doing a good job preventing us from getting anything setup
MSU earns their first win of the season. 3-1 over BU courtesy of 3 third period goals
1 minute to go
Thats it. Lowell just straight up beat us. 2-1 final
Might have been a different result if di Giuseppe hadn't taken a stupid major penalty.
That's probably the best I've seen Michigan play in a loss in quite awhile.
UML's first goal was a crappy one to give up. And if PDG didn't have a major brain fart, Michigan may have won this game or tied at worst.
1-2 loss to a team that was preseason #1, in the Frozen Four last year. Not gonna complain.
Kind of unrealistic to expect Michigan to run the HEA gauntlet of BC-UNH-BU-UML and come out perfect.
Just pound tech next weekend.
After watching the highlights on mgoblue, still looked like we had a ton of great chances like we had against BU last night, we just couldnt squeak out the win in this one. Sounded like we still played just fine against what should be/might be a good team.
Considering how tough the first 6 games were on paper, coming out 4-1-1 is a very very good start
Their goaltender played very well. We were a bit bad at screening him, that's a thing for the forwards to work on.
we just didn't have it last night. There were many missed passes and opportunities. I lost track of how many missed one timers we had with an open net with passes that sailed right by the receipient. The team looked sluggish compared to the previous night against BU. Oh well. the team will regroup and look to pound Tech next weekend.
