not on espn 2
spoiler alert: i linked this
Nadal v Federer on the deuce had me very disappointed for a moment.
CBS out of order in my area. F. Guess I'll be listening to this one.
I was searching the ESPN family. Preview FAIL.
That series of 3's was sick...
EDIT-They fixed it.
LLP for 3! Wright for 3...then LLP for 3 again! Awesome. LLP is the definition of a streaky shooter. You just love him sometimes.
All I can say is WOW!!!!
this makes what we've done so far this season seem even more painful. we can play like this!
Viagra is not indicated for paranoid schizophrenia or chronic hallucinations. If you see your reflection talking to you, please have yourself committed. Viagra will not be held liable for any broken mirrors or windows.
you have auditory or visual hallucinations lasting four hours or more seek out the assistance of a medical professional.
Did the announcer in Crisler just say "Great Scott, Anthony Wright for Threeee!"??? Something needs to be done about him.
Love the video. I just had a chuckle that the "Great Scott!" quote was used in reference to an Anthony Wright 3 pointer. When you think about it, that's a pretty good reaction to Ant hitting a 3 these days.
Great Caesar's Ghost!
random 3s Ant Wright makes, he's almost single-handedly blowing this lead...turnovers, bad shots, bad fouls...
and he made a three as i was writing this....retract?
He's gotta make enough random 3s to make up for the bone-headed plays, and so far he hasn't. Another three or four in this game, and I'll let him off the hook.
We are playing with TONS of energy and heart right now... If we can keep it up, I think we win this game for sure!
LLP is playing great defense
I still can't be that optimistic about this game, even with this lead.
we're gonna win this one.
I've always been a pessimist on the board. It happens.
I really want Wright to play well, but he always seems to follow up an awesome play with mind numbing plays after.
...to see the team playing well against an opponent like UConn on a national HD broadcast. I really liked their defensive discipline toward the end of the half, and they did a good job picking up a couple fouls on UConn.
The atmosphere at Crisler also really came together for this game. Even on TV the lighting, unis, Maize-out, cheerleaders, student cheers, and band combine to project a stout sense of the energy there.
our cheerleaders are hot.
Enjoying the elevator music they're playing at halftime on the online feed?
It's like being on hold, except instead of India on the other end, it's a fantastic Michigan basketball game!
A shame - those not in attendance at Crisler missed out on an epic game of Simon Says!
and bring the wood
we have really dropped off on defense
there's a dude in a grandma sweatshirt in the front of his section... guy in the outshot wearing a blue jersey and a white baseball hat. it's like they're trying to play the 'i dont need to dress like everyone else bs.'
man i'm either getting old or still hungover. in other news, get off my lawn and be a dear and fill pop-pops 'medicine glass.' thanks honey.
Is it true he doesn't lose suction?
Did I miss why Jim Calhoun is wearing a puzzle piece on his lapel?
of some sort. Autism Speaks, maybe?
Pretty sure it's a cause of some sort
Thank you Captain Obvious.
If he isn't already, he's going to be the leader on this team. Might not be the fastest, tallest, or most skilled, but his hustle cannot be matched. He's definitely a "lead by example" guy.
He reminds me of David Eckstein in that way.
seems like a good choice if UConn isn't gonna shoot from outside.
...that was above average"
With a thrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeee pointerrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!
And a pair of CLUTCH free throws. Could we be seeing the emergence of the emotional leader of the team going forward?
Definitely got away with a hack from (was that?) Douglass on that turnover for the manny layup.
GOD FUCKING DAMNIT
cant close it out now they dont deserve the win...
Wow, I thought our FT shooting had been poor for stretches this season. UCONN has been horrid today.
THAT was an AIR BALL!
How many Big Ten wins is it going to take to get into the tournament?
I love reading RCMB threads on our games when we win.
they would rather actively watch a UM basketball game praying we lose instead of watching NFL playoffs or OT Red Wings hockey says it all.
even when they've fielded better football and basketball teams, too many of their posters act like the very "little brother" mentality they claims is bs.
But it's even more ridiculous when you consider that there are a lot of fans who root for teams within their own conference, even their rivals. And then others root against their rivals, which is understandable. But usually you don't care that much about whether your rival wins or loses. But these guys are ridiculous. They root against Michigan as if their own season is on the line. Sure, we still give OSU crap because of that blown PI call in the 02/03 Fiesta Bowl, but do you really care and have delusions about every other call in the game, even the ones that probably had little effect? Even when it's your own team, obsessing over bad calls gets a little worn. Just look at ND and PSU fans still bitter about this year and 2005, respectively. And we have our own calls that continue to haunt us (or some egregious calls from other games not involving Michigan b/c the calls were so insanely awful e.g. 06 Oklahoma-Oregon).
But playing the delusional fan when your team is not really affected? That's not dedication; that's pathetic. But hey, you can't expect much more from a little brother with a massive inferiority complex.
The collective intellect of that message board would fail to get into a community college. So sad.
Oh wait, I'll have to translate for them. :-) :'( :-/
...Is pretty amazing...
That girl was so hot, her looks could cure AIDS. This is what I wrote in another thread:
And that redhead cheerleader shown while the officials were reviewing whether Kemba Walker was fouled behind the 3-pt line was absolutely gorgeous. Seeing that beauty on TV made me wish I was still the Heisman-winning QB playing at UM.
I wonder what life with her would be like. I would be like, "Hey wife, put your clothes back on, my mother's at the door."
Okay, creepiness over.
you should totally Facebook her
They revoked my account. Some stupid stuff about me being a so-called "sex offender" and "accused of stalking." Everyone's so damn touchy nowadays. I thought this was supposed to be America! Feels more like 1930s Germany to me. My chances with her are now ruined. Thanks a lot, Bin Laden!
Somehow I don't think she's interested in married men in their 30's. Now, if I was coach at USC, I might have a chance...
But hey, don't make her put her clothes on for mom. If mom insists on coming over, she gets what she deserves.
Oh, and if that's going to be your attitude...I'd like to visit. Frequently.
Sometimes, I wish Darius Morris could not do what he does.
How can that not be two shots and the ball after that foul?
I think someone earlier in this thread mentioned it, but one of those cheerleaders is legitimately hot.
Now I KNOW we're in a weird place in Michigan athletics
Damn, missed it. Pic?
DVR back to the timeout before the three free throws...
The last 3 words are much easier to type than say...
Oh DO NOT rush the court plz kthx
I cringed the moment I saw them piling down into the corner on that last possession.
I understand it (we're living through an age of infinite pain and dong-punching, after all)... but act like you've been there before.
Glad the recruits got to see a good game though.
Well this was a damn good day. Two commits, Hawks win (I'll take the negs, thanks), and a big win in basketball.
I'm not going to neg you, but all the *OMGz! MY team beat a DETROIT team yayz!* garbage is really unnecessary and disrespectful if you ask me. A large proportion of UM fans and students are from Michigan and cheer for Detroit pro sports teams. Do you like it when OSU fans comment about how amazing their win against Michigan was? I didn't think so.
Anyways... AMAZING WIN!
And a large number of Michigan alums are from Chicago. This blog isn't primarily a Detroit sports blog, so I don't see the connection.
Detroit sports are ancillary on this site, so I don't think it's out of line for somebody to enjoy a win over a Detroit sports team. There are plenty of M grads and fans who aren't Detroit sports fans.
Students don't have to act like wannabe's.
Let the kids have their fun. I'm sure the recruits thought it was cool.
i see recruits on the court... and that's a GREAT thing.
HAIL YES! Big win.
Oh well... At least everyone is having fun!
is with merit
Yeah, it's probably an overreaction to rush the court. But on the other hand, it's nice to see some excitement.
Agreed. I'm sure Demar Dorsey is enjoying himself down there and that can't hurt our (infinitesimally small) chances.
nothing better than a Facebook ass kicking. i bet we can add WAY more recruits than they can!
A little over the top to storm the court IMO. Great win good day to be a Michigan fan!!
Michigan beat UConn
Saints destroyed Falcons
man... is it my birthday?! what can happen next, another Greek potluck being hosted today in E Lansing?
the Falcons made the playoffs...
11:30 EST, 12:00 Tonight show start
what's the difference
Storming the court may be a little clichéd, but so what? It's the first genuinely big win of the season. Let 'em have their fun.
