A pick-me-up thread. I surfed in for "pick up" lines which, BTW, never really worked for me but I find them funny anyway. You may wish to revise the header.

Nothing to be depressed about. We played a hard-fought game yesterday and lost brilliantly. I doubt we'll lose another game this season and there'll be a new, superior season under this coaching regime to excite us soon. Our best championship and conference domination days lie ahead of us.

... things aside, is there any reason why we *shouldn't* be lovers?" Said with a smile and gazing into her eyes with sincerity, it almost always thaws the ice because she laughs - probably snorting her cocktail onto your shirt with the right expression, which itself sparks more laughter - and you can take it from there. You just need cajones and a good drycleaner.

For the ladies it's easier. "Hey sugar ...."

The last seven seasons before this one taught me just how special those days were really, but the last six weeks or so have made me believe - for the first time in a while - how close we might be to them again, even in the light of a dongpunch like yesterday. I made the same mistake of not savoring those times. I will try not to make that mistake again.

Nice effort, but not the result you were hoping for. Still shocked and depressed. Exhausted too because I was up half the night replaying the game over and over in my noggin.

I realize everyone is coping in their own way. But this team lost on a fluke play, where as in years past the game was over at halftime. We're moving in the right direction and need to put this behind us as a fan base. We can sit around and mope for the next two weeks or look forward to seeing what this team does moving forward.
