Michigan In Top 3 for Leon McQuay III
Who also happens to go to the same school as Chris Hawkins
Exactly, and McQuay waiting until November certainly helps our chances there. If he wanted to commit to USC today, they might take him. But I bet if Cravens commits, SC has room for one more DB, and that either might not be available come November or he just won't be the top guy for their last spot.
I'm not so sure we get him. As aquaman just said he has a friend at Vandy and he wants to study to produce music. Nashville and L.A. are a little bit more in the music scene then A2.
Vice.com
But you can study anywhere. I studied film at UM and it just meant I had to move to LA once I graduated. I'd say music is even much more universal than film in that regard.
GO BLUE! MClub supports you.
Did you have the chance to study film at a prestigious institution in LA? I consider myself a pretty large music fan and if I were inclined to be skilled at producing music I think given the opportunity I would like to study music in a richly diverse musical setting. That's not saying you can shake too many fists at Detriot though and it isn't too far.
No, he studied film at a prestigious institution in Ann Arbor. You can study politics really well without being in DC (like at Michigan). You can study finance really well without being on Wall Street (like at Michigan). You can learn to be a Broadway star without being on Broadway (like at Michigan). Same goes for music and film.
You can also study music in two of the biggest music cities in the world. My only point is it's something to consider and everyone says i "flambait"??
Vice.com
Yes, you can study in the two biggest cities in the world. The point we're trying to make is that you don't have to be in the biggest cities in the world to study music, especially if a world class institution in the midwest happens to have a state of the art music studio and nationally renound music school. You don't have to be where the industry is to study it.
Both Bob Seger and Blackfoot hate you as well!
"You're fat and you're mine". Bo to Dan Dierdorf.
Uh...Ted Nugent? /s
He could major in music theory, minor in business. Seems like a winning combination.

Screw Lance.
The business school lets people minor now? That's new in the last 5 years. Are you sure about that...???

I have no idea, just assumed. I was LSA/Geological Sciences which apparently no longer exists.

Screw Lance.
No, you cannot. He could double major in an LSA department though, like econ.
You can minor as a BBA though not in every field.
Here's hoping for a bright future. This team does try hard and I will continue to support them.
If it's' still around, and I think it is, a general studies degree, where you essentially design your own major would be a great opportunity. One could take classes on north campus for music and audio engin, lsa at central campus, and b.a. classes as well. And, if on track to graduate in four years, and reshirts his first, you could get a fifth year in as a grad student. I suspect this would also allow a player to take the harder classes outside of football season.
When did your mother let you out of the basement Mr. Rosenberg?
I thought I heard or read something about him being recruited as a CB. Can anyone recall this being this being said. A 6-2 CB would be great in this class because we seem to be lacking height at CB in the last two classes.
THIS IS MICHIGAN
The coaches told him he could play CB for us if he wanted. That is per Rivals.
Also per Rivals that the coaches offered him #2 if he came to play ball at Michigan.
Also per Rivals they haven't been able to get an interview with the family - so this info is coming from inside the Fort.

Did they really offer him #2, or was it more like "You would have every opportunity to wear Charles Woodson's famous #2, possibly with a patch"?
"It would be a travesty, it would be ridiculous to all of a sudden come back and get the feeling back, get the health back, feel good again and then all of a sudden go throw some other colors on my shirt and go coach."
I don't know about offering him the #2 right away. Countess would be a senior and should have a shot at it.
Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.
- Vince Lombardi
I'm very skeptical that the staff would offer him more than a chance to earn the #2 jersey. That way they can make the same offer to Fuller and future recruits. I'm expecting to see Countess wear #2 McQuay's first two seasons.
Eating is murder.
We're in on so many top flight players, and yet have so few spots left.

Theres no denying what Hoke is doing with Team 134. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? So exciting!
'Try growing up in Texas a Michigan WOLVERINE'.
Encouraging sign, USC leads for Tahaan Goodman and are in the top-two (with Oregon) for Max Redfield. Those are two of the best safeties in the nation. They have Cravens too, but I'm pretty sure he is coming in at LB. They're also in good shape with Priest Willis, he is a CB/S. Could easily turn into a head-to-head with Vandy.
Edit: Mentioned above, but also note that Michigan is the only school in the top-three of both McQuay and Alvin Bailey. Bailey has a top-three of us along with FSU and Central Florida. McQuay and Bailey are teammates at Armwood. Both of them on campus at the same time for an official could be great.
This kid has a 4.2 GPA! That's higher than most regular students that get into Michigan
"I find your lack of faith disturbing... This is Michigan fergodsakes"
Michigan, usc, and vandy.Guys we have more than just a shot here. Right now we are the leader for sure. IF he visits again before the season we will be on commit watch! The BIG thing for L3 is the chance to wear Charles Woodson's number 2 jersey.
JACK KENNEDY DROP THE BEAT.
Hey I say that!

I don't see them on here yet so here are McQuay's beats, which happen to be crispy. He's not just saying that he wants to go into music, it seems like he has some actual talent.
I was expecting him to be good, but he does have some actual talent when it comes to producing.
Greetings from Bolivia.
"It's special how the real true people hang together. And if you don't support the program you're not a true Michigan guy. It's that simple." - Gary Moeller
From Toronto. His grandpa was one helluva rb in the cfl!
Anyone know if his father played football?
Keep your stick on the ice.
Don't count out ND, he is visiting them this month... and recruits seem to really love brian kelly land
USC has Snoop Dog, and he has access to a lot of studios. Ask Ty Isaac.
Roll Tide.
He can't go to USC if they run out of slots. Sanctions#
Is my birthday! Hopefully Mich can offer up a nice gift with his commitment.
Just looked at McQuay's Rivals page. It appears he comes from the Greg Oden school of looking 50: http://rivals.yahoo.com/michigan/football/recruiting/player-Leon-McQuay%20III-100111
For his sake, hopefully his body does not breakdown on him like he is 50.
The Michigan Difference. Oh yea, it is real.
Being from Nashville and living here in Nashville, Vandy is not the spot for musicians. Belmont University is where all the musicians and aspiring musicians attend, so with that being said, I LIKE OUR CHANCES!! GO BLUE!!
A buckeye is nothing but a hair-less NUT!
In the even he goes our way, there's really only one thing that can be said: that shit quay.
/ bows
No radio. Nothing of value.
My Birthday is tommorow the 5th so if not today on your birthday maybe mine would be a great present to me and the fan base. lol Im not greedy!
A buckeye is nothing but a hair-less NUT!
He put us in the top three without even meeting Hoke yet, and he's planning to come up in the summer for another unofficial just to meet him. All the momentum in his recruiting points to Michigan. My bet is once Hoke points at him, he's Blue.
Just listened to his tracks on SoundCloud. This kis has got skillz. We really need to get him in the secondary, make him earn the #2, and have him develop some of our theme music. For starters replace Sweer Caroline and White Stripes being beaten to death.
My prediction based on flimsy evidence, we get him in November.
"We want the Big 10 championship. And we’re going to win it as a TEAM"
This is really exciting news. Another positive is that the Rivals page says he graduates in December 2013 meaning he may be an EE candidate.
Would be quite the combo of safety/corner and wr were we to get Bailey and him.
Here's hoping for a bright future. This team does try hard and I will continue to support them.
That shit Quay
I apologize about the dress code, sir, but my next party is a hayride

Tahaan Goodman is another defensive back that USC is almost certainly in the lead for.
