What about camo jackets?
I'm hoping Texas Tech wins. Sorry but I can not stand MSU.
but i'd much rather have OSU win than MSU. i have respect for OSU's program, not MSU's
but I hate this crap I have to hear about the big ten just as much. More. Rooting for all big ten teams this year.
I think TT beats them pretty badly. I'll say 34-17.
Before I make a prediction, has anyone heard whether or not Sparty the mascot is eligible?
he tested positive for HGH and is in the process of being extradited back to Greece
I am telling the bookie "no thanks" on this one. If I had to make a pick, I'd still take TTU. Perhaps 41-28.
I predict I won't be watching this game and I hope Texas Tech hangs 200 points on Sparty.
We follow one team in this house.
michigan's first 2010 opponent plays at 2 today vs south carolina in the "gross garlic-butter dipping sauce bowl."
It's by far the best chain pizza
Hey, support the Michigan economy! Dominoe's, Little Ceaser's and Hungry Howie's are all HQed in the mitten, Dominoe's is owned/founded by an M grad. Skip the PJ's and support your state!
Also, Sparty will get devoured like a meat lovers in a dog house.
with pizza way better than any of the big places. Hello Faz Pizza on Liberty just past Stadium.
At least I hope so.
by 4....book it.
I don't really like TT, but I can't bring myself to root for Dantonio.
TT 35 MSU 27
Here's a great parody of code red questioning scene in "A Few Good Men". Found it through a link from EDSBS on a Rivals site. Good laugh.
This game is one of the least predictable of all. Tech should beat the crap out of Misdemeanor State, but the loss of Leach and the divide in the locker room between those who want to play football and those who reek of entitlement may cause Tech's attitude to go south at the first bad break. The Tech players have to be pissed right now. Going into a game pissed can go either way; you can play great or you can become disgusted and indignant. The former works out great, but the latter usually results in an FTS loss.
So, basically, the tangibles go to Tech and the intangibles may or may not go to Tech. Tough call, but I cannot root for the little yip-yap dog in EL whose raison d'etre is to nip at the heels of the University of Michigan, nor can I stomach the thought of predicting an MSU victory.
Tech 50, MSU 10.
That's pretty much my analysis, which is none, because it's up in the air now. Thought this was the easiest to predict bowl game, and now MSU winning wouldn't shock me.
I'll still say Tech (who I'll obviously be rooting for), but not by as much anymore - 31-24.
School o' turmoil: 1
Saint Dantonio's school for wayward youths: 0
I typically root for all big ten teams to win bowl games. i believe that the stronger people believe the whole conference is the strongerr they believe we are. HOWEVER, i cannot bring myself to root for sparty this year. they have gotten so cocky while they have gotten so out of control it's mind boggling. to think that there is a one play difference between us being where they are and them being where we are. if winston is not on the team and does not score the ot td and we do we are 6-6 and they are 5-7- we're bowling with a win over msu and they are sitting at home with a loss to us.
Caper scored the OT TD not Winston.
I thought this was a thread in which we would be predicting the number of MSU/TTU-related threads that would be started here. Then I saw the / and it made sense.
Since this game features on team with a coach but without half its roster facing another team with its full roster but without its coach, I predict the viewers will lose. I also predict that Michigan State will remain true to its nature by finding a way to lose the game.
First half, MSU does what it needs to do and controls the clock with the run game and keeps the ball away from the Raiders. Second half, the MSU run game is halted and they have trouble moving the ball in the air. Keith Nichol is nearly decapitated when he tries to go over the middle for a pass and Dantonio is criticized like JLS was when he put Stanton in on special teams.
Every Sparty fan HATES when Nichol plays QB. I think they would actually be ok with him being decapitated.
Nichol to play WR! hahaha
If MSU had a work release program, the outcome might
I think that MSU will actually pull this out, thus furthering the undeserved Big Ten hype that tOSU somehow earned the league last night.
to defend itself once the MSU thugs go after them
but the Sparties tack on some garbage time scores to make the score appear closer than the game really was.
It's going to be a shit-show tonight. Up here in Grand Rapids, a number of Spartan players were quoted in the press saying they were "pissed" and that everyone picked against them. Well now that Tech lost their head coach it will be interesting to see how they react.
Personally, I hope Michigan State's SUSPECT Secondary gets exposed by the nation's #2 passing attack.
Tech 41, State 24.
My guess is that there are going to be armed guards with snipers just like in The Longest Yard.
I hope state gets their doors blown off. I will root for the B10 in bowl games minus MSU and OSU. But I have to give credit to OSU they came to play yesterday and deserved to win. But, I would love nothing more than to have MSU end up with a losing season. Then to top it off Gholston decommits and ends up at Bama. You know your desperate when your 2nd string QB is playing receiver. Nichol is going to get lit up, I cannot wait to see this.
Burn Sparty, burn...
It seems like ESPN has given Patrick and Davis a script to bash Leach every chance they get. Do they realize that there is a game going on? There opinions are so one-sided that it is offensive. Today they are relying upon affidavits of employees of Texas Tech who having every reason to protect the university from Leach's anticipated lawsuit.
All week ESPN has given Craig James opportunity after opportunity to tell his side of the story. James is, of course, the same guy who took benefits to play for SMU which helped SMU get the death penalty.
Does anybody else think that ESPN's coverage is entirely lacking in ethics?
Finally, I hope State gets killed.
I saw a comment that the Pitt basketball coach was not supportive of Pitt joining the Big 10. What a surprise! Pitt plays in a premier basketball conference and the Big 10 allows its officials to allow a style of play (10% less physical than football) that virtually assures that most Big 10 teams can't compete in the NCAA tournament (with the exception of MSU of course). In what other conference would Wisconsin get away with playing that style of basketball?
