I think it's funny they are spending so much money on SDSU gear.  The only people who have any reason to be pissed are the meth dealers who will see a drop in their reveune.

spart.

I think they should be a little more concerned about Valpo right now.  I guess they are the best team ever and don't need to worry about their games.

Michigan's two game pack Thursday night is a separate ticket package from the daytime double-header...  I am guessing they will all end up walking around the casino's in their new duds...  If they do drop more cash to get in, that is really awesome...

Good.. Spend you money on a shirt once. Makes a ton of sense.. My question now is where are they gonna get extra money for thier Busch Light??

I used to be a huge propenent of calling MSU "little brother" and making fun of their little attention grabbing stunts and quirks.  But I feel like me and a lot of others here are so over it.  Who cares what Sparty does, because I know that I sure don't anymore.  We had a nice little run of getting overly annoyed by them, but it's ran it's course.

They are pissed at us for not helping them win a share of the Big Ten regular season... Had they handled their own they wouldn't have to worry about another team winning their last game. So go be mad at your own team, don't blame another team.

This thread sucks. Michigan played an entire B1G schedule, playing with a few fake SDSU fans in the stands isn't gonna make any kind of difference at all.

A lot of folks in this thread care so little, that they've posted a number of times just to prove it.

I'll tell you this, if the t-shirt were made of comfortable enough material, I'd wear a SDSU t-shirt (though not this week).  Kinda like Travolta wearing the UC Santa Cruz t-shirt in Pulp Fiction.

Sign me up for the "who cares" column.  When we dispatch SDSU by 15 points, all these jackasses who dropped money on an SDSU shirt will feel fairly stupid.  Who knows, maybe we'll get an early Easter present and be able to enjoy a little Valpo over Sparty schadenfreude.

I don't see the problem with all this.  It just means there will be more yellow and blue in the Palace.  Nothing wrong with that.  MSU fans not wearing SDSU gear will cheer for them while there will be Michigan fans cheering for Valpo as well.  It happens with every fanbase, no big deal.

If you think MSU fans are going to watch their team, then go change into SDSU gear, en masse, you are delusional.  The simple fact is a handful of idiots will do it.

Those SDSU swag are sweet.

This is why I NEVER root for them. They pray for our downfall any chance they get, yet arrogantly expect us to pull for them. Fuck them. Go Valpo, Sparty get Valtrex.

not go lie when I seen SDSU i instantly thought about SAn Diego State Univ. and was like why is sparty buying their gear then I realized that it was South Dakota State.  Why can't we get along like the SEC do in their bowl games.  The Stateof Mich have two teams that is basically playing home games so we need to come together and make it hard on the non BIG TEN teams tommorrow and Saturday.  At least make to next weekend.

Yeah, we Michigan Men would never do anything like that. We never think or talk about our instate "rivals", who aren't really rivals at all anyway.

Making a sign (a funny one) =/= spending $54 on a t-shirt.  Especially when the sign was making fun of Sparty's whiny obsession over us.

Nobody is saying MSU isn't a rival either.  If they do say that, they are the opposite end of the Sparty idiocy fan spectrum.

I'm not seeing it. That was a high profile BCS bowl, a national stage, and a chance for Michigan to be "back". And what is the first thought of fans? "HAHA SPARTY SUCK IT WOO LIL BRO YEAH"

Besides, I don't see anything wrong with dropping a couple bones to sport an SDSU shirt. I didn't do it, but I don't see the problem. It's funny, it's a rivalry, we're going to be there anyway, it adds to the atmosphere...if you've got some extra cash in your pocket, why not? Am I fulfilling the "obsession" when I pay a hundred bucks more for an MSU-UM ticket than I do for a regular conference game? Are you?

And yes, though you seem rational, there are many on this very board who try to claim MSU isn't a rival. I remember in football season, someone listed OSU, Notre Dame, and Nebraska as bigger rivals than MSU. Thought I saw an Iowa claim in there too. Sometimes the lengths you'll go to convince yourselves you don't care about MSU is evidence to the contrary.

On one hand you say Michigan should be above poking fun at their rivals on a national stage and then on the other hand you call buying a SDSU shirt to wear to the national basketball tournament as funny and part of the rivalry.

Do you see the disconnect there?

MSU is a major rival. Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot troll. MSU fans need to ignore the trolls just like everyone else. Don't worry, Sparty, we recognize you as a rival. That doesn't mean we don't look down on you when you pull Sparty moves liking dropping $55 on a South Dakota St t-shirt.

The rest of the country sees the Big Ten as a joke and major choke artists so we really need to come together and cheer for conference pride.   Let them other conferences know that just because we kick each other butts, we not go let yu do it too.

...and am catching up on the boards. This one made me laugh out loud. They do realize that they can cheer for SDSU without spending $60 on a shirt and shipping, right? The ushers won't make them keep quiet because they're not in the right gear. I don't think Trey Burke is going to be intimidated by the number of opposing team shirts in the stands. Oh Sparty.
