The Michigan State Fight Song (Edited for accuracy)

Submitted by Seth on

A slightly re-edited version of the altered Michigan State fight song we used to sing after the annual little brother beating.

Enjoy.

An hour North of ol' Ann Arbor,
There's a team if I recall
Got a massive shoulder chip,
'Cause the Spartans can't play ball...

Blow right through ol' M-S-U
Watch the points keep growing
Spartan teams are going to lose
They're fighting Sylvia Rimm.*
(SPARTY-NO!)

See their defense transferring,
We're gonna win again,
FIGHT! FIGHT! RAW TEAM FIGHT!
Your older brother's proud of you!

* From Wikipedia: According to child psychologist Sylvia Rimm, sibling rivalry is particularly intense when children are very close in age and of the same gender, or where one child is intellectually gifted.

Here is a parody done by an actual MSU student last year. I edited a few things.

On the Bank of the Red Cedar
Is a school that's known to all;
It's specialty is drinking,
And spartans likes beer pong;
At drinking games we're never beaten,
we drink through the days and nights;
Till we vomit the only colors,
Green and White!

Go right through' for MSU,
License points keep growing.
Drinking Teams are bound to win,
We're chugging with a vim!
Chug! Chug! Chug!

The Administration's weakening,
They're going to lose this game.
Burn! Burn! Burn! Couch Burn!
Infamy for MSU.
