Michigan Staee Indiana Open Thread
February 28th, 2012 at 7:05 PM ^
We are all Hoosiers tonight.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:10 PM ^
we have no shot at the B1G title anymore, right? (sorry, don't follow bouncyhoops that closely)
February 28th, 2012 at 7:11 PM ^
We have a shot at splitting it with MSU if they lose out and we win out
February 28th, 2012 at 7:16 PM ^
By "lose out" he means "lose at Indiana and home against Ohio State."
I'm not saying that's likely, but it's not a crazy scenario either.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:10 PM ^
LOL @ missed dunk by what's his name
February 28th, 2012 at 8:10 PM ^
I just like to call him Home-Depot .. its easier
February 28th, 2012 at 8:21 PM ^
I call him - "obladipo obladapo life goes oooonnnbraaahhh"
It is a tad wordy... but fun
February 28th, 2012 at 7:10 PM ^
February 28th, 2012 at 7:10 PM ^
And beat the spartans whoever you are.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:13 PM ^
IU even if we don't win the share of the title still want State to lose.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:20 PM ^
Man, that Hulls kid. I can't decide if I like hiim or hate him. I for sure hate him when we're playing IU, especially when he's shooting threes. He's super quick too.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:59 PM ^
he just tosses ball up and it would go in when they're playing us...hope he does that too.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:14 PM ^
He's quick on offense, but he's a huge defensive liability. He had no chance of guarding Trey Burke, which is why they tried putting Watford on Burke for some reason (as well as Oladipo, which did work pretty well). At the start of the game at Crisler they put Hulls on Burke, and Burke scored like 7 of the first 13 pts.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:21 PM ^
Damn I wish we had a good a home court advantage as IU does, the combination of the crowd and the ridiculous home cooking makes it almost impossible to win there. Sparty can't buy a foul on the offensive end.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:24 PM ^
record, but 15-1 isn't too shabby.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:25 PM ^
to Minnesota of all teams.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:29 PM ^
with or without Trevor Mbakwe?
February 28th, 2012 at 7:42 PM ^
One of the oddest losses of the season.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:27 PM ^
True, we both only have 1 loss at home, just seems like we never had a huge advantage at home with the officials except some favorable calls in the OSU game, and the lack of a loud crowd without the students killed us in the Purdue game.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:44 PM ^
Assembly Hall is the toughest place in the Big Ten to win at on the road. But Michigan home court advantage is getting up there with the maize rage and the new upgrades to the facility.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:19 PM ^
The Refs lilke Coach B. We are starting to get some of those Duke-like calls at home, such as Charges on 50/50 calls.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:59 PM ^
Really? They didn't show us that much love against Purdue.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:25 PM ^
February 28th, 2012 at 7:27 PM ^
Totally possible.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:26 PM ^
for IU, so that is 11 FT's to zero for MSU gotta love the home court advantage so far in this game.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:36 PM ^
Hate sparty or not......the blatant home cooking IU receives in this conference is absolutely sickening.
No team in the conference gets the type of home cooking that IU does.

February 28th, 2012 at 7:46 PM ^
lol. Hopefully Appling keeps his head in his ass for another couple years.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:53 PM ^
Great first half for Our Wolv - ER - Hoosiers. Michigan State is a pretty good second half team, so Indiana's going to have to turn up the heat and keep up the intensity.
February 28th, 2012 at 7:54 PM ^
first half by IU, I mean the 20 free throws sure didn't hurt. 20 more minutes till we have a lot better chance at winning the share we all want so badly.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:03 PM ^
Jay Bilas really reminds me of RichRod....are they related?
February 28th, 2012 at 8:06 PM ^
This game is going well so far. WHY DID WE HAVE TO LOSE TO PURDUE!
February 28th, 2012 at 8:14 PM ^
It was part of our devious plan to get Sparty overconfident so they'd lose out.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:12 PM ^
but I just turned on Tim Allen's new show on ABC, and his wife is an Ohio State grad and Tim has on the University of Michigan hoodie. From Tool Time I know he is a huge state of Michigan sports team fan already. Just thought it was cool he brought the best rivalry to his new show also. Go blue, oh and when she made a statement about graduating from Ohio he made a funny joke on how that didn't really count.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:15 PM ^
Yeah, in his new show, he's actually a Michigan grad and constantly gives his wife a good ribbing for going to an inferior school.
He also tells his daughters that if they don't get into Michigan, it's OK b/c they can always go to tOSU.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:20 PM ^
Someone want to tell Indiana the second half has started?
February 28th, 2012 at 8:31 PM ^
February 28th, 2012 at 8:35 PM ^
The problem is actually shutting him down. If you shut down Thomas Robinson Kansas is no good either, the same can be said for a lot of teams. It's not really as simple as you say it is. Michigan State is a pretty good team unfortunately.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:53 PM ^
MSU has...Appling?
February 28th, 2012 at 8:42 PM ^
Payne and Nix are pretty big beasts when they wanna get going. I think MSU is actually catching fire at the right time and will or should make a deep run in the Big Dance.
February 28th, 2012 at 9:20 PM ^
A running team smokes them.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:33 PM ^
C'mon IU, finish this off. Plz k thanks
February 28th, 2012 at 8:45 PM ^
Talk about carrying your team, good god man.... Green is out of his mind
February 28th, 2012 at 8:50 PM ^
He's also a whiny player who constantly complains to the refs, then hammers Indiana's players and nothing is called. Ridiculous. Always saying "bullshit" and waving his hands at the ref. Technical?
February 28th, 2012 at 8:51 PM ^
Those player of the year awards just may happen for Green. SpartyFreude aside, I really don't think that they are a top flight team so much as an average team with an excellent player. Guess we have a little while left to watch them and see.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:53 PM ^
game, set, match son.
February 28th, 2012 at 8:55 PM ^
In other news, Minnesota has the lead over UW. I don't know if that will last, but if it does, we clinch the #3 BTT seed with a UW loss.
