Michigan Stadium Rededication Video

Check out the new, outstanding video chronicling the Michigan Stadium rededication game posted at MGoBlue.com.  I hope they're showing this to recruits.

"You've been here before. But not like this."

You've been here before. Michigan Stadium. The Big House. But not like this. On Sept. 4, 2010, the University of Michigan football season kicked off with a special day, formally rededicating the Big House after three years of renovation and expansion.

"This Big House" chronicles the historic day. Directed, written and produced by Michael O'Leary and narrated by Zach McGowan, the video goes behind the scenes on the team bus and in the tunnel pregame while also documenting the Victors Walk, the ribbon-cutting, an inspiring walk to midfield by Brock Mealer, fireworks and, of course, the 30-10 victory over Connecticut.

A University of Michigan graduate and former U-M lacrosse player, O'Leary is two-time Emmy winner and a 2010 College Sports Media Award winner for outstanding feature.

The helmet cam discussed in this post caught some of the video used in the production.

forget being in attendance at that game. Seriously, this is the second time tonight I've mentioned something about our team bringing me to near tears, but I was an emotional person going into this game.

As the bio said, Mike O'Leary is a UM lacrosse alum.  He does videos for them every year that are a lot like this one that you can see on the lacrosse team website, and he did a lot of stuff for the Canes when he was living down in Miami.  Hopefully football will find more ways to use him.  He's good.

I know for the lacrosse videos he usually gets one of the voices from NFL films to do the narration.  The guy on this one sounds like he may be one of those too.
