You could tell the team never got down on themselves. Megan gave Haylie a huge hug when it was over. So many great plays. Sierra Ronero is such a team player. Love it! On to Sunday!

So much joy tonight.  I don't know how any of those players are going to be able to get to sleep, what with all the adrenaline of that performance!  I'm also just delighted that we ground one of the biggest sports blogs in the country to a halt over a softball game.  Congrats to all you nuts out there hitting refresh & posting in the game thread!  Not done yet!

I totally believe in this team. When they were down 3-0, I did not give up on them. I knew the game was not close to being over.

I like how the couple nay sayers on the thread disappearted when they started coming back.

Anxiously awaiting Sunday.

"Disappearted"

I hope they stay disappearted.   Naysayers like them that wave their personal white flags of surrender when the game has barely started?  They can go find another team to cheer for!

The AD better get the private jet fueled for a trip to OKC...They way they are playing right now, they can definitely win the whole thing.

I think I missed a reference somewhere, what is this about pizza?  I know they were talking about it during the broadcast tonight but I don't know the origin..

as a Rangers fan, I was ready to open up a vein tonight (just a pathetic effort).

I'm still not going to sleep tonight, but the game did cheer me up quite a bit.

We just kept pouring it on!

Hmm, that would be a good test of ones UM dedication. For me, the sport I just can't get into that a lot of people like is soccer...but if UM was playing in a National Championship Tourney, I just might find myself watching a game or two. It's amazing what that UM pride can do. :)

What is Voltron? I know the 5 lions cartoon. I don't think not liking a sport is a bad thing, the Tigers could be in the World Series and I wouldn't watch. I just don't like the sport. I do think it would be cool if they won though, that's a memory that will last their lifetime. And this is bad? I can only name Jenny Finch as a softball player. Sheesh, sorry. Didn't think I made fun of the girls or slighted the sport at all. I think with the amount of money I have given the university I can be indifferent on watching them play a secondary sport while still wishing the same girls luck.

Also I have followed the blog since we hired Rich Rod, people have said worse. Saying I have lasted since 2014 is I had no idea you were internet famous dumb. That's like asking someone what they are going to do with their Mgopoints. Not every person follows the secondary sports to such a degree that if they don't watch "they're an asshole" it's called the offseason for a reason.

Thanks for calling me an asshole for saying I won't watch a softball game though, then wishing them luck. You got that going for you.

What did you expect? Your comment was the equivalent of attending a wedding reception and making a toast saying "I don't know why anybody would get married, but good luck anyhow."

I have zero interest in soccer as a sport, but if Michigan's soccer team was having success and a thread was created to celebrate it, the last thing I would think of doing would be to post a comment saying "I just don't like the sport." If I did, I would expect the same reaction to my comment that yours got and I sure as hell wouldn't complain about it, either.

You're an asshole for clicking on a thread about a sport you don't like, and making the announcement. Who cares if you like it or don't? Seriously, there are tons of people who don't like it, and who cares. You're the one who made the choice to type something stupid once, and then keep returning to post about a sport you don't like to continually chime in. That makes you an asshole AND a narcissist.

Is there some rule that only blind idiots are allowed to umpire the WCWS or something?  I swear, I wouldn't want these jokers umpiring my rec league games.   I thought the jokers last night were bad and  then the ones from tonight may have even been worse.

I know umpiring is tough and all, but good grief this is the World Series.  Shouldn't these be the best softball umps in all of NCAA or something?  Or did they just drive down to WalMart and grab some people out of the parking lot?

I had questions about that last night myself, but then I realized how it usually happens. Years ago, you see, on a segment of "Headlines" on "The Tonight Show", one of them happened to be something like "Blind Cabbie Forced To Abandon Driving" and all Leno could say is that finally he could return to his day job as an umpire. That sounds about right to me.

I'm really starting to appreciate the benefit of having two ace pitchers that throw from opposite sides. Not only do the hitters have to adjust to a different style of pitching (strike out vs. quick out), but they are getting complete opposite views of the ball. It is so much easier to throw the other team's offense out of its rhythm with that tag team.

That's to say nothing of our offense, which is spectacular from 1-9. You've shut down the best hitter in the nation? That's alright....our next 2 girls will wreck you.

EDIT: And by shut down, I mean kept Romo to a hit and a couple sacrifices. That's as close to "shut down" as you can get with her.

For some strange reason the game was on at Giordano's in Oak Park, Illinois. I saw us down 3-0 and then....... DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK, WE BEEN HERE FOR YEARS!

great game. Hutch is a ridiculous stud. I've played on some pretty good teams and this one looks like it is focused on the big lumber. bring it home. love this team.
