No Michigan Softball game on Saturday, please!
"One-pitch softball"

Great win!
Speed and intelligence. I watched the entire win from pre to post. Brandon got at least one thing correct, we need to invest in Michigan Softball. Now I can go back to work, happy. Go Blue!
These are comments I like to see.
Michigan being on ESPN in these NCAA Tournament games only builds the fanbase (which is already incredibly impressive). People who maybe haven't been following/watching all season long like the rest of us might watch Michigan in the World Series and then might come out to Alumni Field for a game the next season and get hooked.
That's why it's smart to invest in all sports here. Because it willl build the fanbase and add more support to the programs and it lets the athletes know that we're all behind them.
Michigan Softball was already built up from decades of hard work and stellar coaching by Hutch. It just got a boost by having world-class facilities added to its reputation.
on everything but giving DB any credit. Coach Hutch built this Michigan Softball Machine well before Brandon arrived. Credit her, credit the long line of great Michigan softball players, and credit the Wilpons and other donors for the fact we have a great softball/baseball complex for our athletes to use and profit! from. Brandon showed up at the right time to hitch a ride for a while, but that's all the credit I'll give him regarding our softball heroes.
/end of rant.
FASTPITCH POSBANG!!!
great pitching. Go Blue!
win over seeeeeecccccccc
advancing...
I'd say thats a great night.
Go Blue!!
Ucla or oregon. I'd rather face ucla.
Alabama Slammer is just a drink, not what they do with their bats.
Go Blue!
It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine!
Dominant win! Go blue!

Betsa and the entire MICHIGAN softball team FORCE Alabama to post a big fat goose egg. Nothing Alabama could do about it.
Kind of OT/serious for a posbang/question from a younger guy, but I usually think Hutch smiling = Bo smiling in terms of being hardasses who aren't easily pleased.
Can someone chime in about how accurate that is?
Bang-a-rang
Dat grand slam, doe...
+1 Awesome gif, I could watch that for hours and still keep laughing.
Great work ladies.
Hoping we get a chance to send Oregon to the loser bracket next.
Nope. Save this until the end, folks.

One pitch softball.
The only thing worth celebrating tonight is that incredible dismount by Hutch at 3B. 10/10.
Alabama never got a runner past second base. Amazing.
Go softball!!

Seems to me that if Betsa pitches like that but gets the outside corner that was very inconsistent tonight, our offensive makes us the favorite.
Awesome job by the girls tonight. Went to my first ever softball games last weekend during the super regionals and had a blast. What a fun team to watch. Go Blue!
I can't find anything on ESPN or on MGoBlue.
Here: Betsa was excellent, particularly in the first five innings, Third time through they were starting to get to her a little bit but not enough to score. Christner hit a solo HR, Sweet hit a Grand Slam and that was about it.
It's GONE! Kelly Christner launches a homer over the right field fence! The Wolverines jump out to a 1-0 lead. #WCWS pic.twitter.com/cLxwb2tXeS

How SWEET it is! Michigan's Lauren Sweet rips a GRAND SLAM for the Wolverines! #WCWS pic.twitter.com/YR0Z3RGSj9

Thank you to both of you. Go Blue!
Michigan is now 79-2 all-time when hitting a grand slam.
This was the first time ever in Michigan history that a player hit a grand slam in a World Series game.
Samantha Findlay would argue that stat
That was a 3-run homer.
Random WCWS softball note:
All 3 games played thus far were decided by 5 runs
- 5-0, #3 Michigan over #6 Alabama
- 6-1, #5 LSU over #4 Auburn
- 7-2, #1 Florida over #8 Tennessee
So what you're saying is...UCLA is about to win 4 to -1.
So what you're saying is...UCLA is about to win 4 to -1.
is up 2-0 in the second
Alabama was so close...
I wish he had gotten the stick planted. Would have been a much more spectacular fail I'm guessing. Basically zero chance of a successful pole vault for that guy.

How can anyone be so uncorrdinated?
Let's keep the pizza going.
30 min delay in the Oregon/UCLA game due to weather. The later this game goes the better.
And a replay of the Michigan game now on ESPNU while we wait!
Hopefully this Oregon-UCLA game goes lonnnnnnnnng into the early morning with the delay and then go extra innings so the winner is nice and exhausted for 9:30pm tomorrow night.
