Good. Only thing worse than a noon kick is a 3:30 kick on BTN. Next best thing to a true night game... 3:30 ABC.

The time slot is an interesting one this week. Should put us up against the 3:30 Florida @ Tennessee on CBS and the 3:30 Duke @ Notre Dame on NBC.

That was my biggest fear with the easy non-con schedule. When you're not tested for four to five weeks, it's hard to play up to your first difficult opponent. Not developing any "calluses" as Harbaugh would say. Glad Colorado was better than originally expected. They needed this experience.

Not as good of a weekend as this weekend. There's some interesting stuff earlier on; Clemson at Georgia Tech might actually be good if GT can move the ball Thursday Night. USC and Utah is a real game Friday night, though IMO A2 locals should feed their animalistic college football cravings by going to the EMU game at Rynearson.

Easy for me to say, it's your money to watch whatever that will be.

MSU-Wisconsin is clearly the best game between ranked teams. FL-TN and TAMU-ARK are also ranked matchups, but neither of those feature any teams ranked as high as either of the two B1G participants.

Maybe the BTN/ABC thing will switch? They're both listed as TBD. WH, have they ever changed those things before?

I think I was remembering this post from last week that Wolverine Devotee himself put up with clips. Does "WH Style" refer to something other than the poster? I assumed he made the clips and was referring to himself as WH, but I don't know why that would make sense.

Nope, he's right. Firing Richt to hire Kirby Smart was a boneheaded decision. Richt was a proven sort-of-winner, Smart has never been a head coach and could turn out to be Will Muschamp 2.0. If, Georgia had hired a good, established HC, then their decision would have been more understandable.

I don't blame Georgia for firing Richt, he was stuck in neutral and was going nowhere.  Sure 10 wins/yr, but what big time wins and what championships?  They were never going to get either with Richt.

Hiring a new coach is always a crapshoot - with the notable exception of the Unicorn, and few, select, others (Meyer, Saban, ?).  UGA went with the hot name coordinator rather than some retread who was far from a sure thing.  I think they made a good choice, but he'll need a couple of years to establish his own identity.  That's when we'll see whether the Smart choice was smart, or not...
