Just gauging MGoBoard's feelings about the football program.

How do you go about seeing the results?
October 31st, 2010 at 9:30 PM ^
So we can't see them.
October 31st, 2010 at 10:06 PM ^
I see what you did there (-.-). A very wry +1 to you seuir.
October 31st, 2010 at 9:31 PM ^
thing progress you speak of?
October 31st, 2010 at 9:33 PM ^
I think it's just a misspelling of regress.
October 31st, 2010 at 9:47 PM ^
Maybe that's just me.
October 31st, 2010 at 9:54 PM ^
I was referring to the whole team from the beginning of the season. Also, it's a joke. Lighten up.
October 31st, 2010 at 9:55 PM ^
Considering our only run game consists of denard, it has nowhere to go but down when he runs it all the time. We def need another back who isn't made of glass, here's to hoping Dee Hart is worth it all

Is anyone else constantly checking mgoblog hoping to see a new rumor announcing that Greg Robinson might be gone?
November 1st, 2010 at 2:03 AM ^
I'm thinking about getting a Rivals membership just to better obsessively keep tabs on things.
I'm a sucker for rumor-mongering, what can I say.
October 31st, 2010 at 9:37 PM ^
I'm assuming you'll be posting results at some point?
October 31st, 2010 at 10:19 PM ^
Yes sir, I will be waiting a few days so there will be more data.
October 31st, 2010 at 9:43 PM ^
I got to question 5 and stopped. I can't answer that question until the season is over. There should be a wait and see the season play out option.
October 31st, 2010 at 9:45 PM ^
Thanks for doing the poll. Besides the yes and no questions, there should be allowed multiple responses for Q2. Not a big deal. Interested in the results.

i'm proud of the kids on this team. while they're not winning very much right now, i believe they're doing what's asked of them and giving everything they have. on top of that, they're staying out of trouble and representing the university well.
that is all.

on top of that, they're staying out of trouble and representing the university well.
Agreed. Taking players out of jail and straight onto our defense, only to play like this, would take it to a whole new level.
October 31st, 2010 at 9:50 PM ^
Is it safe to come out now?
October 31st, 2010 at 10:39 PM ^
And it won't be for a long time (unless AMH_G decides to become a HML_G on Saturday).
October 31st, 2010 at 10:03 PM ^
attrition, talent, greg rob, RR, whatever anybody wants to label it. These kids have never laid down and quit.
October 31st, 2010 at 10:13 PM ^
The players are not quitting, it's the coaching (defensively) that they just aren't getting.

Even with all of the remote throwing and tantrums in front of the TV, I have *never* questioned the heart of this team.
October 31st, 2010 at 10:22 PM ^
Notice that "lack of effort" was not an option, I am very impressed with how they've stuck their heads up and trioed as hard as they can. That might be the only positive thing that I can take away from the defensive performance but yeah.
October 31st, 2010 at 10:25 PM ^
And the OSU question just reappears...

(Plus posting so I can see when the results are up).
October 31st, 2010 at 10:33 PM ^
It is very telling though when RR has to come over to the defense and light a fire under them cause Gerg won't.
October 31st, 2010 at 10:39 PM ^
Agreed, I definitely think that Rodriguez is providing motivation that Robinson can't or won't give. IMO, a defensive coordinator should be mildly crazy when it comes to yelling and getting on his player's backs when they aren't performing well, and Robinson doesn't seem to have that in him. I think that this could be a positive for Rodriguez himself, it shows his fire and passion.
October 31st, 2010 at 10:39 PM ^
And i find it even more telling that it seemed to freaking WORK!!!!!
October 31st, 2010 at 11:54 PM ^
I turned to my girlfriend when that happened and told her she was looking at a dead man walking in Gerg.
October 31st, 2010 at 11:24 PM ^
The results should be interesting
October 31st, 2010 at 11:28 PM ^
I'm sitting here sifting through the board, but I don't even know what I'm searching for or even why I'm bothering to try. All we're doing is just repeating the same things over and over again. Where is that Halloween costume thread when you need it?
October 31st, 2010 at 11:48 PM ^
So, so true.
November 1st, 2010 at 12:03 AM ^
Yes, thanks.
November 1st, 2010 at 1:40 AM ^
Our offense has made huge strides since '08. The defense is much slower to develop due to many factors. After the '08 season the search for a new DC may have been hampered due to RR wanting to keep his own coaches on defense. I'm not certain but we may have had a chance to land a bigger name DC if he was given the chance to pick his own defensive coaches. I don't think it is fair but if GERG has to be cut then all the defensive coaches should go. Let the new DC pick coaches he can work with and has knowledge of their coaching skills and philosophy.
November 1st, 2010 at 7:38 AM ^
Michigan (RR) did not focus enough on Defense his 1st 2 years at Michigan. This is why we are playing so many freshmen (our sophomores/ juniors) aren't that good on D.
Rodriguez has certainly turned the corner on offense and next year, Michigan will be even stronger offensively.
Also, I don't understand the fire GERG, keep RR train of thouht, because it's not a scheme issue. We just don't have enough solid players on Defense because Michigan didn't recruit/ focus enough on Defense. (Remember those "insider" posts a few years ago that said the D's practice was essentially just to help the O along?)
