Considering our only run game consists of denard, it has nowhere to go but down when he runs it all the time.  We def need another back who isn't made of glass, here's to hoping Dee Hart is worth it all

Thanks for doing the poll.  Besides the yes and no questions, there should be allowed multiple responses for Q2.  Not a big deal.  Interested in the results.

i'm proud of the kids on this team.  while they're not winning very much right now, i believe they're doing what's asked of them and giving everything they have.  on top of that, they're staying out of trouble and representing the university well.

that is all.

The players are not quitting, it's the coaching (defensively) that they just aren't getting.

<br>Even with all of the remote throwing and tantrums in front of the TV, I have *never* questioned the heart of this team.

Notice that "lack of effort" was not an option, I am very impressed with how they've stuck their heads up and trioed as hard as they can. That might be the only positive thing that I can take away from the defensive performance but yeah.

Agreed, I definitely think that Rodriguez is providing motivation that Robinson can't or won't give. IMO, a defensive coordinator should be mildly crazy when it comes to yelling and getting on his player's backs when they aren't performing well, and Robinson doesn't seem to have that in him. I think that this could be a positive for Rodriguez himself, it shows his fire and passion.

I'm sitting here sifting through the board, but I don't even know what I'm searching for or even why I'm bothering to try.  All we're doing is just repeating the same things over and over again.  Where is that Halloween costume thread when you need it?

Our offense has made huge strides since '08. The defense is much slower to develop due to many factors. After the '08 season the search for a new DC may have been hampered due to RR wanting to keep his own coaches on defense.  I'm not certain but we may have had a chance to land a bigger name DC if he was given the chance to pick his own defensive coaches.  I don't think it is fair but if GERG has to be cut then all the defensive coaches should go. Let the new DC pick coaches he can work with and has knowledge of their coaching  skills and philosophy.

Michigan (RR) did not focus enough on Defense his 1st 2 years at Michigan. This is why we are playing so many freshmen (our sophomores/ juniors) aren't that good on D.

Rodriguez has certainly turned the corner on offense and next year, Michigan will be even stronger offensively.

Also, I don't understand the fire GERG, keep RR train of thouht, because it's not a scheme issue. We just don't have enough solid players on Defense because Michigan didn't recruit/ focus enough on Defense. (Remember those "insider" posts a few years ago that said the D's practice was essentially just to help the O along?)
