Zagelvoort's on the bench
That's the end of the first. U-M 2-0
Let's keep it going! Don't let up!
Just to be clear - I did NOT equate Red with Paterno. My question was in regards to FAN sentiments that somebody "earns the right" to retire when they choose and not when it may be in the best regards of the program. And, I prefaced my question by saying I dont follow hockey so I dont know what he should do or even what's best for the team.
And the "fuck you" comment wasn't necessary. You can disagree without being disagreeable.
You bring up PSU and Paterno in a hocky game thread, you take the fucking consequences.
2-0 lead after the first.
The game is on Fox Sports Ohio for those who have that channel but not Fox Sports Detroit.
I'm watching it on FSD
I would, too, if I had that channel, as I'm sure the announcers are M guys, but I have no choice but to watch it on FSO.
Well, Matt Shepherd does U-M b-ball on the radio, but Darren Eliot (IIRC is the color guy) was a former Red Wing (King & Sabre) and is in the studio for FSD Red Wings broadcasts.
Still a Game in State College.
PSU down by 3 with 2:00 left
but given the jekyl-and-hyde nature of the Michigan defense, I think it's imperative we get to an early-2nd period 3-0 lead.
A lot of chippiness by OSU in the first period. If that ref can't return, I'm predicting behavior getting worse and a fight or three by game's end.
Fuck, they score on a breakaway. 2-1 U-M.
Di Giuseppe misses the net on a breakaway, Ohio State comes back on a 2-on-0 and scores. 2-1.
GOALLLLL DeBlois
De Blois!!! 3-1 U-M!!!
DeBlois scores. 3-1
eeeeeeeeeeeeeee rough to watch that replay.
So he just caught a rut? Ouch.
I was away for awhile and missed most of the 2nd period so far.
Buckeye player just went down, no contact, had to be helped off.
No one touched him, he just caught a spot on the ice and fell on his leg.
GIF: Ohio State's Alex Szczechura somehow twisted his knee and collapsed without being touched http://t.co/IQbyTy6ag9

Back on the PK
What a load of shit on that penalty.
D'oh, on the PK.
Downing to the box. He's got a target on his back.
Racine!!
Bus broke down, eh? Maybe that should happen on Saturday, too.
Back on the PK
Back to the PK...would like to see a replay.
So when are they going to take Bill O'Brien out of the B1G hockey commercial?
Um ... whatever.
Fuck, they score, 3-2.
Bullshit goal off a bullshit penalty.
Bullshit penalty, but maybe a bad idea to try to pokecheck there?
That shouldn't count cause Racine got run over, not because the net came off.
I'm not a hockey guy but it looked to me like Racine was too far back in the net. Just a tough goal though
Well, the guy was driving the net, not shooting from the blue line. You don't want to be far out and have him go around you.
Yeah, I understand that, but it almost looked like his entire body was in the net except for his head and arms
Racine went down in a low squat, intially had the length of his paddle flat on the ice while being up against the post (and some of him is inside the net while doing that), but then he went further down and tried to pokecheck.
Should have been disallowed. The buckeye player who knocked the goal off the moorings then gloved the puck in. Watch how the puck disappears for a bit, then suddenly gets flicked in.
Don't see how: the puck popped up into the air, and that guy was sliding along the ice.
3-2 after two
Argh. Hopefully we get the early goal in the third. #WinTheGame
Ohio State can score. The last thing we need is a parade to the box to let them back in the game.
Well, maybe the refs will stop calling bullshit penalties. #HALOL
Some good defensive play by Copp there
The radio broadcast is down, again. This is the 3rd time it's been down for an extended period.
