Michigan offers Speedster Ronald Darby

Submitted by umhero on

It looks like he may have a little dilithium and he has dreads and wings. Darby

The would-be tackler's uniform is awful. White with baby blue wings is an awful combination and an insult to both UNC and Michigan.

Also: how many fakes on the 40?

The 60 indoor is also without the turn - just the straightaway.  I've never heard of a 60 run outdoors.

If he's all that fast, he should be able to run faster than a 10.55 100m, and he still might.  Either way, with all of the track times thrown out for this kid, I doubt the 4.37 or whatever is legit, but probably only one fake out of five.

Often, football players who run track will alter their diets to prepare for Spring Ball or get ready for Football Summer Conditioning & two-a-days, as a result of the increased body mass, they don't run as fast as they could/should.  Case in point, my kid ran his fastest 100m/200m times early in the season because, unbeknowest to me, he had been convinced by the Football HC that he was getting 'too small' to play his position and no offers would come his way!!   Never mind he was a 6'2", 205 lb MLB who was running 10.7/21.8 for the 100m/200m distances AND finished second at the Florida HS State meet to a kid who eventually won a 4x100m relay gold medal for his home country of Jamaica!!

Just saying......no sour grapes for his TRACK COACH!!

At any rate...let's land this kid!!

A RB in this system does not need to be 6'1 295 pounds... look at Ronnie Hillman during Hoke's and Borges's tenure in SDSU... He was the Mountain West freshmen of the year. Also he is a speedster type at 5'10 175 lbs. If this guy can play (and by the look of his offer list, he does) then he will be a great RB in this system regardless of size.

Darby has been pretty public about his interest in Notre Dame.. he's going to be tough to pull from them. A very good player no doubt though. Don't want to see him in the spread against us.

Many people on here don't like when others don't conform to their idea of a proper board post. In someone's opinion your comment was probably an eye roller or something. When I see something I think is rude or disrespectful, I'll neg, but if it's just childish or whatever, I normally don't.

I read on another Michigan board that his father is a big Michigan fan, and that we have a legitimate shot at seeing Ronald playing for Michigan.

I hope this is all true because Ronald has game-breaking speed, and I'd love to see him play in the Big House.
