He's definitely taller. We'll see about better.

One of the best form tackles I've ever seen right there.

Beautiful tackle. These days they would have probably ejected him for helmet to helmet.

That business where Greg Robinson would rub a toy beaver on players was one of the weirdest things I have ever seen in a college football game. Those were dark times. The only thing weirder was when that kid was dinging the bell for Texas Tech and it looked like self abuse.

Speaking of weirdest ever, how about EMU a few years ago coming out and breaking down a concrete wall that players could have easily run around?
as an EMU student. We were all looking around wondering WTF was going on, and we were at an Eastern football game. Expectations weren't high.
I'm glad you specified toy...

I'm still pissed about that.

Was an amazing game. When Roundtree made that catch on the hail mary heave to set up the FG, the place was the loudest I've ever heard it in person.

It was basically a walk-off TFL. A great first game and one that, truth be told, we had no business winning. The Roundtree Hail Mary catch was lucky enough.

At the 1:15 mark...a less critical play but a much bigger ball carrier. Tremendous.

If he plays anything like his brother, I want him!

Good old Kenny Demens. He and Jonas Gray were a pretty lethal backfield combination.
Kolin is a lot like his brother. Neither one is a great athlete, but they're both solid football players.
April 19th, 2016 at 12:08 PM ^
He isn't a wow athlete, but I think he looked a little more athletic then Kenny did. Also a little bit longer. Think Kenny was built a little bit better for an ILB though, and Kenny had really good instincts (something you can't really tell on Kolin's video).
April 19th, 2016 at 12:48 PM ^
Yeah, Kolin is more of an OLB while Kenny was a pure inside guy. Both are a little heavy-footed, and I think that prevents either one from being a big difference-maker at the higher levels.
He just doesn't have great burst. I think he changes direction well for kind of a tall, lanky guy, but the acceleration and speed are so-so.

Kolin Demens, come onnn dowwwnnnn...

Colon Demons, for those who don't like to pronounce things accurately 100% of the time.

I am not surprised that he's stuck around in the NFL. I always liked his intensity and his play. One of my favorite players that came out of the dark days. I hold him, RVB, and Mike Martin in the highest regards.

Watch his tape...He's a player! Only a sophomore now..still raw.
Let DCD basketball in scoring also!
Go Blue!

Ah, WD. Don't worry. Just a younger brother. Remember, many of your blog-mates have to face the father-son pairs on the team, having cheered on the Wheatley and Harbaugh formerly known as youngsters.
Not just a coaching tree for M, but the genetic tree is producing fine fruit.

So much this
Guess I was thinking of Harbaugh and Wheatley because they're really throwing it in our faces, both generations on the field at the same time.

Yeah, but does he need his thighs to breathe?
Nothing up front like all of Ohio State players get to play football and not play school. Now that Staee is getting some players I wonder what their paying? No one wants a Spartan degree so everyone knows their players aren't there to play school either.
