Michigan offers JUCO(!) WR Mark Munson edit: false alarm

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

VERY interesting.....

Munson is a WR from Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA.

Michigan has only had 3 JUCOs in their history. Michael Kerr, Russell Shaw and Austin Panter.

Just got off the phone with Michigan, yeah they offered  #goblue

If people are going to take random twitter proclamations seriously it's on them.

Not the worst way to give yourself some attention.  Maybe he'll get a couple coaches watching his HUDL and it'll translate into an offer.

Hey WD, I'm going to let you in on a little secret, (and I know this is going to hurt because the internet is like your favorite place ever) but not everything on the twittersphere and the internet in general is true. And I know it is a big deal for you to post stuff first because it gives you a nice warm feeling inside like when your mom used to put that extra little debbie in your spiderman lunch box, but sometimes just stop and think, hmmm maybe I should wait a little bit.

I vaguely remember the kid, but Fossil Ridge is far from a 6A power in this area. Seems a bit suspect considering he tweeted out his Hudl to Coach Drevno and 3 hours later he tweets he received an offer, which has subsequently been removed. Sounds like he was trying to drum up interest.

Whatever it takes to win and is legal. The kid can play hard and get a great degree. If you think some donor at any university hasn't got a kid in with lower standards then you're mistaken. The façade is nice at schools, but purely for a false image.

given the long-standing difficulty of getting JUCOs past admissions. Considering the small number of scholarships available, it seems unlikely to me we'd spend one on a guy who's got at most two years to play.
