I think you are trying to hype up the coach but kind of making it up.  What is a "Nice Guy" supposed to do -- only offer uncommitted kids?  Do you think ANY coach in Division I would be a "nice guy," if he got the job when Harbaugh did?

He has 2 weeks to find recruits.  He's got no choice but to ask committed kids.  If any coach takes umbrage with that, they shouldn't be in Division I coaching.  Rather, it's probably like, hey Harbaugh likes my kid -- I better hang on to him!

Frankly, RichRod or Hoke had to do the same thing.  If you want to spin this that we have some kind of bad mofo coach now, great, go ahead and think that.  But basically, it means we have a coach with a pulse, nothing more.

The nice thing is that both of these guys are more speed guys, unlike the Jaron Dukeses and Csont'e Yorks of the Hoke era. Hopefully that means Harbaugh is moving in a different direction. I was not a fan of Hoke's WR recruiting for the most part.

Whoever Michigan gets, it would be nice if they could contribute in 2015. Michigan needs some speed, and I don't know if anyone on the roster is ready to be that guy. I like(d) Drake Harris, but he's been injured for two consecutive years. I think Jefferson is better right now, a little bigger, a better route runner, etc.

Like I said, I would be happy with either one. It just might take a little longer to get a return on Burnett.

Reported 40 times during recruitment -

Jaron Dukes: 4.60

Csont'e York: 4.57

Deontay Burnett: 4.69

6', 150lbs, 4.69 40... doesn't seem that attractive.

Not a scout but,he seems to adjust well to the ball in the air. Nice rac as well. When he's not just out running guys he does a good job cutting back against the angle of pursuit. As a side note his QB made a couple real nice throws. Although he only ever seemed to have one target in mind.  Probably can't blame him for that. would be great to get Van thou!

His highlights are pretty fun to watch. You can definitely see the track background when he takes one to the house - the kid leans forward in his sprint to try to break the plane of the goal line even when defenders aren't even close. Also seems like one of those backs who relishes contact and jumps back to his feet with swagger once he's finally tackled. I'm hardly an expert, but I think this kid would be a solid add for Michigan.
