Michigan-Notre Dame @ South Bend
Although I haven't been able to find tickets, I plan to take a crew over to South Bend this year. Anyone know what sections are used for the visiting team in this stadium? Has anyone had any luck with finding tix for under $100? Also, their website says no tailgating in the lots during the game if you don't have tickets.... Is this actually enforced?

The tailgating thing is enforced. They do let you park in fields nearby the campus (White Fields) and you can tailgate in those.
Even for Domers it is hard to get a lot pass.

We're bringing an RV... So, it looks like White Field North. Sounds like we'll be able to tailgate there during the game if we can't find tickets?

Got my ND tickets over the weekend. As usually the visitors are in Section 115 up high opposite the tunnel.

Ditto. I'm sitting in the endzone, section 118. It will be my 4th time going to South Bend, and each time the M fans have been tucked into the upper level corner, facing Touchdown Jesus.

Anyone received word about the away studen tickets they requested? I got antsy in late June and emailed the ticket office to see if I'd be getting the ones I wanted, they said I was, but I haven't gotten any other info

A buddy of mine graduated from ND and he got us tickets. 1st time ever seeing a game in South Bend. The only down side is, I am going to be tailgating with a bunch of Domers......

For what it's worth, I've found most Domers (students and alums) to be rational, decent people. They have an inherent bias, as do most sports fans, but it's still possible to have a decent conversation with them about Football. On the other hand, the "South Side Irish" and their ilk that root for the team based on heritage are some of the worst sports fans you'll ever meet, and give the ND fans a poor reputation. These two are not mutually exclusive, of course, but are generalizations based on a lifetime of interacting with ND fans.

Honestly, I'd say that ND fans are very similar to Michigan fans in general temperament/outlook. The few assholes you do run into are almost always "subway alums."

I have been to most venues - Notre Damers tend to be pretty cool, as long as you are cool.
For the most part think Michigan fans and you'll have it right.

I was hunting religiously on Ebay, Stubhub etc for about 6 weeks. Pairs are averaging around 380, singles 150.
I finally got a pair for 340 and my friend got another at 355. These are on the low end of stuff seen on Ebay. Stub Hub nothing is going lower than $400 a pair.
I've read, here I think, that people in South Bend horde Michigan tickets and there are deals to be found in the days preceding the game. However, since face value is around $80, finding something under $100 will probably take a stroke of real luck. However if just looking for a single you might be able to get $100- $120 before the game.
I think a pair will cost you a minimum of $300 and thats going to take some luck and patiently waiting.
Just my opinion here. Good Luck!

We'll need at least 6 tix... I've been checking stubhub as well with no luck! We'll probably end up just staying at the RV and watching it! Oh well! Should still be a good time! GO BLUE!

I stay in Chicago and take the Victory Liquors ( http://www.victoryliquors.com/ ) bus to the game. ND fans have always been cool to me but I am hoping with a Michigan victory we cant test all that on the bus this year.
As for tickets they can be had in pairs on game day but $120 is best price I have seen ($240 pair).

We're staying at a campground and plan to swing over to Chicago on Sunday to see the Lions and Bears!

Here is the parking map for gamedays: http://www.ticketsnow.com/InventoryBrowse/Michigan-Wolverines-Football-…
You will not be able to get an RV into the stadium lots that people sell parking passes to, I don't know about white field in particular. Doubt they won't let you on the golf course with it either. Oh here,
RV Parking
RV parking is permitted in the lot near the intersection of Pendle and Juniper (just north of campus), as in the past. This lot is not accessible via the new road into White Field at Toll Road exit 77.
