First of many 3:30 games confirmed.

Also will be the homecoming game which Michigan last played Northwestern in back in 2006.

I was there and it was a downpour and the score showed it--17-3 win for #2 Michigan.

  • Michigan is 88-28-2 all-time in Homecoming Games and has won its last 4
  • Michigan is 6-0 against Northwestern in Homecoming Games

On a side note...I don't mind the road games all being night games basically. I think it benefits us 1) from an exposure standpoint and 2) a road game routine standpoint. I do miss the days of all noon games with 1 or 2 3:30 ones sprinkled in though. Those were the days.

Wish all home games were at noon. My commute is so long that if I tailgate for a 3:30 game my entire Saturday is shot. Before we had a child it was no big deal but now it complicates things.

I prefer games like this at noon, but I understand its a battle I am not going to win.

I have to say I loved the end stretch of 2012 with four straight noon games.

2011, we played 8 noon games - we did pretty good that year.

I do hope that we play a few noon ones.

The BYU game should be played at noon.  They are taking a week off, so why accomodate them even further, play it at noon.

All three teams from the west coast should be played at noon.

Make use of the time zone difference.

but reality and for TV purposes; you can expect 3:30. Ore St and BYU will very likely be 3:30. UNLV may be at noon due to lack of interest, but if BTN gets the game who knows. They may want viewers from out west to tune in at 1:30 MST.

between noon and 3:30 pm starts---play a noon game early-season vs. the directional schools and in November once or twice, but 3:30 starts are nice for the bigger games.

Then again, a 1pm start (like what was the normal start time back in the 70's and 80's)  once in a while would be perfect!

I was planning / hoping for a noon start due to having a wedding to attend at 4pm but it seems those are a thing of the past.

Better to get the dissappointment out of the way now, I guess.

Living in Europe,I tend to prefer the noon starts. That way, win or lose, I can enjoy either drowning my sorrows after a loss or celebrating a win! 3:30pm games tend to end around 1am which only gives me an hour, which isn't enough. I hope to be celebrating more victories now.

Noon is by far the best time to play a road game, and night is the best time to play a home game.  Sometimes if you are playing on the road at noon, you can catch the host team napping before they know what's going on (see, ECU at VT).  Home night games provide the home team the best edge.  See Michigan's night games against Notre Dame.  Hell, Georgia Tech played Miami at night Oct 4 last season and, after the first quarter, basically whipped their butts.  Was Tech "better"? Maybe, but home night games invigorate the crowd and players so much that it gives them a significant edge.

For my own personal selfish fan preferences, when I am attending games I prefer either noon or night.  3:30 games just seem to screw up my day because they are right in the middle of the day.
