Civ pro was one of my favorite classes (admin law too); I've always been agnostic as to subtantive issues. Maybe it's that John Dingell quote. Which explains my interest in procedural/meta issues, such as regulating opinions here.
I know nothing about website maintenance, etc... But I think you should use whatever power you have to get this moderating problem fixed. It's in your own interest to do so, as you noted.
