Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

My U of M source says Big Ten has plans to move Maryland game to noon Saturday (not 8pm) and will make final decision by tomorrow evening.

I agree. Prime time is special. High visibility and everyone except for old folks loves it.

What is with all the young people here acting like senior citizens? Have to take some Maalox and go to bed before 9:30 after watching the WGN news or a replay of the Mcleher news hour. Get some soul people! I am from the class of '92 and I am cool with a night game and will be drinking to boot. SMH, fool.

By board standards I am probably an old man (52) and I love night games.  The atmosphere is always electric.  I'm at every home game and here is my game time ranking:

1) Night games - electric atmosphere (UTL I was amazing), plenty of time to tailgate before the game

2) 3:30 starts - Plenty of time to tailgate  before and after the game

3) Noon - Too early of a start for me for any meaningful pre game tailgating when taking into account travel and set up

For away games I still prefer prime time for TV viewing

FWIW......52 doesn't feel that old!!!

Oh joy. So let's sell our soul based on the latest flavor of the month that appeals to a majority of recruits that may or may not come here.

While we're at it, let's get black UNIFORMZ and wear white shoes because it's wicked sweet dawg and the croots like it, right?

I'm trying to be as delicate as possible here since I was once your age when I first started posting here so I'm going to respectfully say: get off my lawn.

You're fucking 20 years old. Get a grip on reality, man.  People can have a different opinion about night games and not be wrong.  I like night games for the hype, but I like noon games for te practicality and the fact that I don't sit anxiously all day waiting for a game I have no control over.  I love your passion for UM, but you don't even have a lawn to get off of, so don't act like you do...respectfully, my ass.

I'm the one who always gets shit for being a noon game lover. So I go over-the-top in celebrating on here when noon kicks are announced just to rib people who give me shit for it.

His post was internet screaming at me that night games are better.

I disagree.

Also, I technically do have a lawn since I'll be paying off my student loans for the place I'm living in some day so....

Sorry, but it's completely fair game to point out that you do not go to UM given your insane dedication to everything about the school (except, apparently, getting into it).

If I'm a recruit, yea I want some UNIFORMZ. Sure adidas has done a shitty ass job of them, and I never wanna see a black Michigan jersey, but as a kid, being stuck in the past doesn't catch my eye. I love Michigan or I wouldn't be on this board or drive 10 hours with my Dad to A2 to watch a game, but Michigan needs to Modernize. Night games are a blast. I've been to many Husker night games, and it's electric. Wisconsin vs Nebraska in 2012, don't have a care for either team, but I'm watching the whole game because of the electricity. Cool alt. uniforms that incorporate the school colors also were worn. How can't you like that? College football is supposed to be a blast, but noon kickoffs kind of kill the vibe. Play some Dad Rawk, turn on the lights, and get the CFB party going! 12 hours of tailgating! We love to tailgate! Noon games are fine against UNLV and other crap teams, but a ranked Michigan vs #2 MSU in Mid-October when the weather is still nice? Sign me up. Michigan needs more night games.

You really think you're something, don't ya? One day, if you ever grow up, you're going to realize what a waste of time it was trying to be a message board rock star on a blog that is not even yours.
