YEEEEEE
Cheapest ticket for U-M vs. Illinois Tues. is now $124. And oh - the marching band has been called back early from break to be on campus.

December 27th, 2014 at 11:40 PM ^

Would it be wrong to crowdsource a band flight out to San Fran for Jim's last game? I mean what's $300K? ;) Would be cool for TV ;)
December 27th, 2014 at 11:48 PM ^
Unrelated, but sounds like a simple phone call and Chris Clark would recommit

Chris Clark's offer was from the previous coaching staff. He can't "re-commit" until he has an offer from the new coaching staff. If you decommit, you take your chances. Same goes for the outstanding offerees who have not already committed.

getting the band back together
December 27th, 2014 at 11:51 PM ^
:( I've been to the last two basketball games where the new coach was introduced. I should have gotten tickets earlier.
December 27th, 2014 at 11:55 PM ^
developed it's probably a good idea that you are not there.

During endless renditions of "The Victors", what we need to do is seal Tim Kawakami inside the bass drum and then tell the percussion section to just have at it and live it up as they play. A few hours later, we can get him out of the drum and he will likely be functionally deaf but wiser for the experience. I personally would tell people that I saw nothing.

If we really wanted to punish him, we'd send him to Columbus.

Your lived up to your promise on Twitter of trying finding your inner comedian. I got a good laugh out of this1 Then again, this whole night is making me giggle.

If ESPN is smart, they wont have their normal College Basketball Halftime Show. Or they'll at least shorten the show, because a lot of people watching the game from home will want to watch Harbaugh address the crowd as well.
December 28th, 2014 at 12:02 AM ^
Crap, I didn't think of that. I really hope they show it. I want to see that place erupt when Harbaugh is introduced!
December 28th, 2014 at 12:11 AM ^
Hope I am wrong. Mgoblue.com will probably air it though

Harbaugh will be a god the minute he sets foot on campus. This event might as well be a coronation, except Harbaugh will do this Napoleon style. He'll snatch the crown out of Hackett's hands and crown himself. And we'll all bow to him and sing his praises.

I'm not overly excited by your analogy. Hopefully, hubris does not infect Harbaugh like it did Napoleon.
I'm in favor of an analogy to Edward I(Longshanks) Hammer of the Scots. Harbaugh will be the Hammer of the Spartans and Buckeyes.

If you are Scottish(or Jewish)you hate him. If you are English you admire him. Besides there are far more loathed Plantagenets. John, Edward II, and Richard II were more loathed than Longshanks for the English.

I love it.
They might as well bring out the M GO BLUE banner just so he can run under it and touch it.

I still like one of the board member's earlier idea of Hackett announcing Harbaugh and dropping the mic.
