Michigan locker room jersey display
I uploaded a video on youtube of the locker room jersey / shoe / cleats display that they have out for the football camps and for recruits tours. It's at https://youtu.be/ZkonyzGAMPI (followed by Tom Brady of course).
Thanks.
Kind of cool. Would like not to see the bumblebee jersey as that just brings back a bad memory that screams dave brandon.
Excepting UTL 1 every special jersey feels distracting, adding only clutter to the ultimate timeless and classly wardrobe.
I thought the Sugar Bowl jerseys looked good. They're so similar to the current aways that I wouldn't see any reason to reuse them, though.
I am firmly in the camp of tradition is deeply valuable and easily squandered so I really don't like any of them, but ND was one hell of a game. That was the first alternate uni right? Would have been sweet to have just stopped right there. But...aww bumblebee. Thanks ex Mr. Boy-toy.
Interesting that #11 is displayed in the current away jersey because that # currently retired.
Kovacs wore 32 until mid way thru his senior season before he was awarded the legacy #11.
That I'm aware of. What I should have noticed is the jordan logo -- that's after the legends program. See below--I figured out what it was.
From left:
- #5 away: 2016 Peppers, Orange Bowl
- #20 home: 2006 Hart, Rose Bowl
- #11 away: 2011 Kovacs, 2012 Sugar Bowl
- #20 home: 2004 Hart
- #55 away: 2009 Brandon Graham
- #23 home: 2003 Chris Perry vs Ohio State (100th game patch)
- #53 away: 2011 Ryan Van Bergen vs MSU
- #5 home: 2015 Peppers
- #77 away: 2012 Taylor Lewan, 2013 Outback Bowl
- #21 home: 1991 Desmond Howard
- #86 away: 2016 Jehu Chesson, Orange Bowl
- #88 home: 2016 Jake Butt
- #11 away: Recruiting visit jersey for recent commit Charles Thomas
- #77 home: 2006 or 2007 Jake Long (guessing 2006 since in '07 the swoosh was larger)
- #7 away: 2005-'07 Henne (in 2004 it was still the old design). Gussing '06 because see Manningham's '07 in two jerseys
- #2 home: 1997 Woodson
- #86 away: 2007 Manningham, 2008 Citrus Bowl
- #18 home: 2004 Antonio Bass, 2005 Rose Bowl
- #21 away: 1994 Tim Biakabutuka, Holiday Bowl

- #69 road: 2013 Willie Henry, BWW Bowl
- #86 home: 2011 (note the B1G logo) Kevin Koger
The gear is awesome but our locker room could use an update. Clemson built an entire Nike room in their new facility for the purpose of displaying gear recruits get. We should follow suit with a Jordan room.
other programs will be chasing waterfalls.
Don't tell me you're going to starting shitting on our football program now to. /s?
Or we could take the guys to Europe once a year then point at Clemson's neon clothes closet and be like "I guess that's nice too."
It's not an either or situation. They have the money for both.
We seem to be doing just fine in the recruiting aspect without having to set up a closet full of "dope gear" or interactive touch screens.
and a great recruiting tool, without having to say a word.....
