Michigan LB Jared Wangler sidelined after meniscus surgery

Get well soon Jared. Hope we don not see anymore significant injuries as spring camp closes.

it's a pretty easy surgery to recover from.  Should be back to normal by August.  Good luck to him.  Here's hoping this is the worst of the injuries this year.

 

 

 

Was he expected to contribute this year? Because he is LB, I'm at defcon 3 already.

Assuming no complications, should be ready to go.  Meniscus isn't too serious (usually). 

The Furbush backing up Peppers at SAM thing would have utterly confused me, but thanks to Seth's handy glossaries on Don Brown's defense, I'd assume what they mean is Furbush will be the guy coming in when a pro-style team dictates we need more beef on the field.  Not really backing up Peppers, but a different player to match a heavier personnel pacakge from the other team.

Shouldn't be a big deal, but it's hard for me to see this with the flashbacks from the Hoke era of everyone seeming to blow out their knees.

Not sure what this means. I thought he would be an asset this year ... to a quick recovery
